Overcome Emotional Eating by Dianne Maurer
Why do we eat? Well common sense tells us that we need to eat to nurture our bodies, we need to eat to satisfy physical hunger. In practice however, our behavior around food is far from this ideal.
Currently it is estimated that globally there are more that 1 billion overweight adults with at least 300 million of them being obese. Studies have shown that an alarming 75% of US adults were overweight or obese (source study carried out by a team at John Hopkins University in Baltimore). The obesity rate in the UK, Canada, and Australia is rapidly catching up to that of the USA. The World Health Organization describe obesity as a worldwide epidemic. Clearly something has gone terribly wrong.
People are simply eating too much and the wrong kinds of food. In the majority of cases, lack of nutritional knowledge is not the problem, on the contrary, overweight people tend to be experts in nutrition, they know exactly what they should and shouldn’t be eating, many have an encyclopedic knowledge of the calorific, fat and carbohydrate values of their favorite foods, yet they continue to consume these same foods seemingly with abandon. Why?
Apart from eating to satisfy physical hunger, people also eat to satisfy an emotional craving. The term emotional eating encompasses a whole range of behavior around food and includes, eating to satisfy and particular emotion, eating as a distraction from something, eating as a habit, eating to feel in control, eating unconsciously and for subconscious reasons.
Emotional eating
It is natural to use food to make yourself feel better, in our society food has always been used in this way. Think back to when you were a child, were you ever offered a cookie or lollipop when you were upset? Eating our favorite food when we are feeling bad is a universal strategy that works every time. The only problem is it only works momentarily, literally, you only feel better while the food is in your mouth. And the kind of food we all turn to when we are feeling bad tends to be of the high fat, high sugar variety, which is obviously detrimental to our weight loss efforts. I have never heard of anybody gorging themselves on broccoli when they are feeling unhappy!
Emotional eating is also symptomatic of deep seated emotional baggage such as guilt, fear, loneliness and anger. This may require therapy to clear it. There are many therapies currently available such as hypnotherapy and cognitive behavioral therapy which enables the person to uncover the root of the problem and clear the emotional obstacles to weight loss.
Eating as a distraction
People also eat as a distraction from something, for example, using food to procrastinate, like eating instead of getting started on the report you need to write, ‘I’ll just sit down and have a cup of coffee and that donut and then I will get to work’. People will also commonly eat when they are tired instead of resting or sleeping, instead of getting affection, instead of smoking when they have given up, or because they are bored or even because they are excited and eating calms them down.
Eating as a control mechanism
People who feel they have little control over their lives, and this is common with people who suffer from low self esteem, can find themselves with an eating disorder because this is the one area of their lives where they feel they can exert control. The irony is, of course, that an eating disorder such as bulimia, anorexia or bingeing can very easily take over, so the sufferer no longer has any control over their eating.
Eating Through Habit
Most emotional eating is unconscious. The person is not aware of the subconscious reasons for eating, they simply feel compelled to do it. Much of the subconscious conditioning that causes people to over eat is based on childhood experience, habit and upbringing and has become integrated into their personality.
Becoming aware of habitual emotional overeating and the reasons behind those emotions is the first step on the road to conquering this destructive behavior. There are many strategies that you can employ to uncover your eating patterns and so deal with them.
Briefly, here are some tips to help you overcome compulsive eating.
1. Use a food diary. When you write down everything that you consume and what you were feeling at the time you will start to see patterns emerging. Awareness is one of the most important steps in overcoming emotional eating.
2. Therapy – either self-help or with a professional. If you have unresolved emotions such as guilt, anger, fear or low self esteem consider therapy to help you resolve these problems. Many dieters find hypnosis and hypnotherapy powerful therapies for clearing emotional baggage and any secondary gain issues. If you do not wish to see a therapist try self-hypnosis which can help you to re-program your subconscious with more helpful beliefs. CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) is also a highly effective therapy for reconditioning eating behavior.
3. Get organized. Organize your environment, very often a cluttered home or office can lead to cluttered thinking. Do you ever get the sense that you want to being a new weight loss and exercise program but you can’t every get started? This may be because clutter is holding you back, have a good clear out and start fresh.
4. Set goals. The effectiveness of goal setting is well documented, it crystallizes what you are planning to achieve and moves from a vague hope to a concrete intention.
5. Change your distractors, instead of food try taking a walk, or knitting! Whatever works for you.
Once you have successfully dealt with emotional eating, weight loss will come easily and naturally to you.

A Step by Step Guide to Using the Powerful Piggy Back Hypnotic Induction by Clifford Mee
In the piggy back hypnotic induction you find that you can accomplish all four stages of the 4 Stage Protocol easily and powerfully. Through the simple task of attaching suggestions to statements and yes sets you will successfully absorb attention, bypass critical thinking, solicit an unconscious response and use that response toward a specified outcome.
In the piggy back hypnotic induction you will do this mainly through making verifiably true statements about direct experiences. These will use sensory words like feel, notice, see and hear. You will use these words in a way the redirects awareness by way of taking control of their attention.
Let’s take a look at a step by step guided way to use the powerful piggy back hypnotic induction. To begin this induction you will first start your session out with making verifiably true statements. These statements should contain words like notice, feel, see or hear.
You can use taste and smell but they are more difficult to work into a conversation where you are really having that experience. You will usually be using the sensations that are associated with hearing, seeing and feeling.
Each of these true statements should portray physical aspects all about the sensory experiences that are true. You do have a feeling in your leg; you can become aware of it when it is brought to your attention. Remember these are simple statements about the person’s physical state that are true.
In the second step of the induction you will simply add a conjunction at the end of your set of statements and a word that makes a suggestion to do something. Conjunctions that you would use are words such as while, and, because or that means. After adding the conjunction you will simply add a word like relax, grow heavy or breathe.
When you use this induction you find it easier to accomplish the induction if you use your hypnotic language that you have been learning through out your training. In this induction all the other things you have learned are still going to be very useful, especially the language skills.
By the end of step two you have made your four or five sensory rich true statements and have added a suggestion to the end of them by way of using a simple conjunction. In doing this you have started a process of relaxation for your subject.
The next step will be to repeat the first two steps over again. In this step you need to be sure to keep your statements again a completely verifiably true about physical aspects of your listener. Then you will again attach a relaxing suggestion to the end by way of conjunction.
Each time you do this you will take the suggestion just one step further into whatever state of relaxation you used in the original set of statements. Using your hypnotic language you will continue to add to these suggestions throughout the induction.
The final step in the piggy back hypnotic induction will be to continue your statements each time making them less true. By this step you will have been creating a very strong and powerful yes set. You will make your verifiably true statements less true and your attached suggestion in a way that they will stand on their own.
Eventually as you progress through the continuous loop that is this induction you will be making only stand alone statement for your listener to take in and actualize.
Now that you know how to take your listener through the entire piggy back hypnotic induction there is one more concept to keep yourself aware of. That is that in this induction you have the option of making it a very direct or indirect type of induction.
When you use this induction as a very direct induction the suggestions you attach to the true statements will use terms that are directly related to hypnosis or going into trance. These will be words like hypnosis and trance; you will use them frequently and liberally within the induction.
To create a less direct induction you will use all the same steps only you will utilize more indirect trance themes. You have read about these before and they will be words like relax, imagine, go within or to make comfortable. There are many other examples and strings of words that you can create for yourself and use in this indirect way of performing the induction.
When you apply the indirect way of using the piggy back hypnotic induction you will be able to conduct the induction without ever really directly stating what it is you are doing, and all the principals will still be there.
Choosing to use the direct or indirect area of this induction will largely depend on the person you are working with and what you would like to accomplish. Either way will work and accomplish the goal you have in mind when it is done correctly.

Golf Is A Funny Game by Roseanna Leaton
I was chatting with Fred Greene of Golf Smarter the other day and was aware of how often we broke into laughter during the course of our conversation. There are many things which made us laugh, and I am only too aware that my jaw got a great work out!
Both of us are passionate about golf, and both of us have found our way to forming a marriage between our passion and our employment. Golf makes me smile a lot and I can tell that it does the same for Fred.
There are many aspects of golf which I dearly love. It is a friendly game and a wonderful way in which to meet new people. My home is in the Isle of Man; although I’m lucky enough to spend a fair amount of time in California (even though it’s quite a commute!). It was a gentleman (an avid golfer) who lives in Edinburgh, Scotland, who put me in touch with Fred who also lives in California. There are very few games which put people together from all over the world in such an easy and comfortable manner.
Part of what leads to that ease of getting to know someone is the shared passion for the game whilst another part is the amount of time it takes to play a round of golf together with the gentle pace of the game. A further aspect is the fact that you can be almost any age or fitness level and still be able to play golf. And then of course your level of accomplishment doesn’t affect the play of the other people who you are playing with. Golf is pretty much unique in this combination of facts.
Cricket is another game which affords plenty of time to get to know a fellow spectator, as a gentleman pointed out the other day. It provides a great “networking opportunity” as you bond over your shared passion. But you can’t play cricket on your own and your level of ability will affect the overall game. Tennis requires too much energy to leave much time for pleasantries and you again cannot play alone. Can you think of any sport which provides the same opportunities to “connect” that golf does?
Aside from the friends you can make through golf, there are many other things which make it a very special game. I have already mentioned that you can play it alone or with others and level of ability doesn’t cause issues. A far greater thing however is what golf teaches you as a person.
I played yesterday with a friend who passed comment on how much her temperament had altered since she had started to play golf, both on and off the course. She is now a more placid and person; she was always determined. Golf teaches you the mental skills which are necessary in life in general because it provides you with immediate and dramatic feedback upon your thoughts and actions. As you learn to control your emotions and direct your focus more appropriately, these skills can then be put to good use in every other area of your life.
Cause and effect are seen very clearly in golf, as your thoughts control your arms and then the club and ultimately the ball. The impact of your thoughts are therefore illuminated; you can see very clearly what needs a little work or practice. As your control of the golf ball increases, you inevitably grow as a person.

You think, part of you does not want to stop.
Truth is, thats the addiction talking, not you. The drive to continue smoking is part of the addiction, and it has nothing to do with your consious mind.
Once we start to realize this it becomes easier to prepare ourselves to stop the cycle of hurting ourselves and those around us.

I am so thankful for being introduced to such a remarkable product. I have been using my prestige unit for almost a month, and will never go back to cigarettes. I smoked cigarettes for about fifteen years, and was afraid I would always be a tobacco smoker.
From the first time I used the alternative smoking device, I was hooked. The difference is astounding, smoking without all the carcinogens and chemicals has given me better energy and a much better mood.
Thanks ! Goodbye for good big tobacco!

Plausible Explanations for Past-Life Recall by Sheila Keene Lund
Reincarnation is popularly defined as the rebirth of the soul in a new human body. This idea formed around the ancient theory of transmigration which postulates the cyclical rebirth of the soul in a physical vehicle whether human, animal, or inanimate. The concept of reincarnation is a basic tenet in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. It is an essential part of the mystic teachings of Theosophy, the New Age movement, the Society for Krishna Consciousness (commonly known as Hare Krishna), the Unity School of Christianity, Gnosticism, Rosicrucianism, and Spiritualism. And many of the Eastern practices of yoga and mental techniques base their quest for higher consciousness on the reincarnation theory.
In the West, many people who accept reincarnation ground their belief on the phenomenon of past-life recall, the accessing of memories from alleged past lives. These experiences are usually evoked through hypnosis though also reported by children who spontaneously remember details of someone else’s life.
Are these experiences persuasive evidence for reincarnation? Below are three plausible explanations for this mind phenomenon:
1. Because scientific study of DNA function has just begun, it is too soon to know whether DNA may carry and transmit ancestor experience. But stories of people who have received donated organs and report memories that are verified to be from the life of the organ donor point to a strong possibility of DNA memory transfer.
2. Conscious or unconscious transference can occur, especially during hypnotic regressions, where there can be suggestive give-and-take between mediator and subject.
3. Dormant memories could be stored via personal experience or media exposure of any sort.
The most convincing and comprehensive explanation of these types of memories, however, are found in The Urantia Book, a book of epochal significance that presents the concepts of the human mind’s encircuitment in the cosmic mind, and the indwelling presence of a fragment of divinity.
While the scientific exploration of consciousness is in its early stages, humanity has long been aware of mind activities such as clairvoyance, telepathy, telekinesis, and remote viewing. These activities are not fully scientifically understood, but when we accept that the human mind is connected to the cosmic mind—a repository of infinite thought and experience—unusual memory phenomena and paranormal affinities between personalities are no longer mysterious. According to epochal revelation, ‘[t]he fact of the cosmic mind explains the kinship of various types of human and superhuman minds. Not only are kindred spirits attracted to each other, but kindred minds are also very fraternal and inclined toward cooperation the one with the other. Human minds are sometimes observed to be running in channels of astonishing similarity and inexplicable agreement.’
The human mind’s superconscious contact with the cosmic mind also explains the dreams that sometimes carry us beyond real life experiences, those fleeting glimpses into higher realities that affirm mind transcendence over the merely material.
Given the relation between the human and cosmic mind, the memory phenomenon of past-life recall should be considered a mind experience, even an unexplainable phenomenon of supermind capture, rather than a confirmation of previous physical incarnation.
Such intriguing recollections may also have another cosmic explanation. Because of the presence of the Indwelling Spirit, recall experiences may abound as a result of its efforts to enlighten the mind.
Access to an unlimited “memory bank” of experiences has been historically misunderstood, though the concept of Akashic Records bears witness to cosmic mind—the ‘living libraries’ that are in fact angelic recorders and part of the celestial family.
The value of any spiritual experience lies in whether or not our souls are evolving through our expanded capacity to worship God and love one another. Regardless of the interpretation of the “recall” experience, there is value if it motivates the individual to develop a selfless and loving attitude. However, the ability to objectively utilize information for social progress depends on attaining a broad perspective and a balanced personality. How convenient it is to procrastinate and avoid taking responsibility for our decisions and actions! We seek answers to rationalize our shortcomings without a proportionate effort to improve. We venerate the indefinable realm of memory to explain our progress (or lack thereof) and excuse our irresponsible behavior; we empower mediums and hypnotists as intermediaries between ourselves and our divine potential. All this focus on regression hinders personal and collective progression.
As we engage in developing a well-balanced, God-knowing personality and attaining a cosmic perspective illuminated by epochal revelation, we discover a higher value in the life we are now living. As we grow in our knowledge of the workings of the human mind and better understand cosmic relations, reincarnation will be recognized as a philosophical argument which emerged as a result of fear and confusion about the afterlife.

Weight Loss Hypnotist, Dr. Lewis Heller by Larry Null
Here are the Facts:
Obesity is an ever increasing problem for OUR nation, the USA, because food is plentiful and the variety immense, not necessarily the entire world has this problem.
If you need to find one thing that is escalating every cost in your world, food costs, medical care nationwide, health insurance costs. You name it, our nation’s obesity effects it.
Pills, potions, and lotions, fad diets are, at best, a short term fix. Quit doing them, back comes the weight (plus maybe a few more lbs.) AND the expense of doing the next program.
Hypnosis challenges the very issues that have created the problem for you and helps you to get control of it internally and forever.
Hypnosis works for 99% of the “willing” population. If you want it to work, it will, for 99% of the people who try it. Good odds that it will work for you.
No special foods to buy or pills to take. In fact, chances are good that what you save enough money in your in your grocery bill to pay for this program in the first couple months. In my case, it was the first month!
There are many other benefits we have planned inside of this program. But that comes later. Right now we need to tackle the weight issue.
This is NOT a “buy it and we forget who you are” type of a program. We are committed to your success. Dr Heller does not hide who he is and where you can reach him.
Dr. Heller NEEDS to know he is helping people. That is part of his DNA. This is one of HIS reasons for doing this program. He needs to know he IS making a difference for the thousands of people who are struggling with weight issues every day. His compassion shows through in this program. It’s no act. That ‘s why he became a doctor in the first place.
Not convinced?
Let Me Tell You My Story,
I have known Dr. Heller for a little over 2 years. I met Lewis and his wife Donna at a conference we were both attending in Dallas. We became friends over that weekend. Two months later I was in Phoenix for a cardiac physical and left with 4 stents. Not at all what I had planned as the outcome of my visit. In fact, Lewis and I had talked about meeting up at a conference in Phoenix while I was there. Needless to say, that did not happen. In the recovery room, my cardiologist told me,
“You Need To Lose 50 lbs. NOW!!!” I told Dr Heller, who came to visit me in the hospital, what the cardiologist said. He offered to help immediately. That, my friend, IS Dr. Lewis Heller.
We dabbled a bit on weight loss, with Dr. Heller wanting me to lose weight probably more than I did. Food is my #1 vice. I gave up smoking and drinking already.
We worked together in several other areas using hypnosis with great success, especially “getting focused”. But we had very little success with me losing weight. I knew this was my problem, not Dr Heller, since I was not listening to the recording Dr. Heller made for me, (remember this) or at least not listening to them often enough.
Rule #1. If you don’t use them, they won’t help you. If you want to lose weight, and you listen religiously, they will help you.
Well… Then came the day that I said it.
Dr.Heller and I were talking about me losing weight one day and I said,
“I guess I’m just not ready to lose weight. I must like my food too much to get serious about weight loss. ”
Yep, I had done it. A big
Uh-oh.
I had just challenged his ability as a hypnotist and did not even realize it.
I enjoy the hypnosis sessions I have done with Dr. Heller and frequently he will send me his latest recording “for my opinion”. He knows I have a very blunt personality, which he must feel helps him to be better at what he does because we are still friends.
Well, then it started. His “latest recordings” were all around weight loss. I had changes going on that I was not expecting, nor could I explain why, like eating less because I didn’t want any more (that’s not me). Leaving food on my plate and the table when I was done (could not believe this one…50 year old habit).
Then, not feeling hungry. Craving different foods THAT WERE GOOD FOR ME!! Drinking more water (and green tea) because I craved it. Hmm. Something was going on here.
The best part was I was giving NO EFFORT NOR Did I FEEL DEPRIVATION of any kind. This is what I wanted!!
I believe there are now 18 recordings in all. I listen to 1 or 2 each day or at night when I go to bed. I get a great night sleep when I listen, so this is getting to be my favorite time to listen to them.
WOW!!!
What a difference!!! I am doing everything right without even trying. I am breaking 50 year old habits effortlessly. How HUGE is THAT!!!
I knew then that these recordings had to hit the street!!! Dr Heller just smiles when I talk about it. I’m excited talking 50 words a second and he just smiles. Ever felt you could tell someone was smiling even over the phone? I get that feeling. I know NOT to doubt his abilities EVER again!!
OK…
You don’t know me…
And you don’t have to TRUST ME on this one. I have tried everything. You name the diet, workout program, packaged food, pills and potions. If someone named it, I tried it. If I did lose anything it was a fight and it always came back plus a few extra lbs.
You will witness my journey in the members area. Avery from Eben Pagan’s office convinced me to do the rest of my weight loss journey in front of a camera. She said as someone who has faced the battle, public recognition will help. So here I am. My first video is already posted and yes, I’m still fat. But not AS FAT as I was.
When I quit smoking (3 1/2 packs a day), using hypnosis (another success story), I gained over 100 lbs. While I still have a long way to go, I’ve lost over 40 of these lbs. as of today. Some of it was lost before I started these recordings, but Dr. Heller gets FULL CREDIT for most of it.!!! And he just Smiles…..
I am confident that You will save the cost of this program from your grocery bill easily in the first 3 months. That’s money you would spend anyhow. He even has a recording, in this package, for helping you with grocery shopping for the right foods. How cool is that!!!
Don’t wait. With all the personal interaction planned by Dr Heller with the people who buy this program, I expect him to eventually shut this down out of necessity.
As much as he wants to help everyone, even Dr. Heller only has 24 hours in a day. Don’t procrastinate on this one. Don’t be the person who wished they would have bought this weight loss program, but didn’t.
The cost of this program is $286.00 one time fee. This could easily sell for 10 times that and still be a bargain. It is less than one month of most of the “Packaged Foods” weight loss programs.
Losing weight is tough work. If you need to lose 5, 10, 50 100, or even 200 lbs, this program can get it done as long as you are willing to listen to the recordings and not fight it. Remember, Dr Heller is an MD. PLEASE. Don’t miss out.
Larry Null is an Internet Marketing Professional whose focus is on helping his local economy. Dr. Heller and Larry became friends 2 years ago at a conference. This is the first time Larry has discussed this subject matter and is doing it because it is helping him personally.
You can find Dr. Heller’s weight loss program at:

Smoking, Nicotine and Health by Jeffrey Rose
The use of tobacco and its resulting nicotine addiction is responsible for killing more than 430,000 people each year in the United States, more people than die from car accidents, homicide, suicide, fire, alcohol, cocaine, heroin, and AIDS combined. Tobacco use in some form accounts for around one in three of all deaths from cancer in the United States. Smoking is responsible for 83% of all lung cancer deaths. Smoking also causes cancers of the mouth, larynx, pharynx, esophagus, kidney, bladder, pancreas, uterus, cervix, and some leukemia. Cigarette smoking also can cause lung diseases that can be just as serious as lung cancer. Smokers may develop chronic bronchitis, with their airways blocked up with mucous, forcing them to cough frequently; and, of course, smoking can lead to emphysema, making it difficult for the lungs to perform their function of supplying adequate oxygen to the body. People with these problems tend to tire more easily and this influences them to avoid getting the exercise they need to promote their health. Cigarette smoking is responsible for more than 65,000 deaths from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), which includes chronic bronchitis and emphysema.
Your heart is at risk. Smoking doubles the risk of heart attacks, and, in addition, is a major risk factor for peripheral vascular disease, which is the narrowing of the blood vessels that carry blood to the leg and arm muscles.
Cigarette smokers die much younger than nonsmokers. Based on data collected from 1995 to 1999, the Centers for Disease Control estimated that adult male smokers lost an average of 13.2 years of life and female smokers lost 14.5 years of life because of smoking. For smokers between the ages of 35 and 70 the death rate is three times higher than those who have never smoked.
Tobacco smoke is a major source of indoor pollution. Secondhand smoke causes about 3,000 lung cancer deaths every year among those who do not smoke, and also is a factor in up to 40,000 deaths related to cardiovascular disease for nonsmokers too. Exposure to tobacco smoke in the home increases the severity of asthma for children and is a risk factor for new cases of childhood asthma.
Tobacco is very bad for the reproductive health of a woman, leading to a reduction in fertility and an increased risk of having a miscarriage. If a woman who smokes conceives a child, she may face the possibility of having an early delivery or even a stillbirth. And women who smoke increase the chance that their baby will have a low birth weight.
See the future if you continue this path. If you would take a moment to think of yourself as getting any of the diseases promoted by a smoking and nicotine habit sometime in the future, note how painful it would be for you, both physically and psychologically. Think, for a moment, of how much unhappiness it would create for you and your loved ones, and how it would keep you from enjoying the more healthy life that is yours after you have become a permanent nonsmoker. It is important to fully understand and feel, both consciously and subconsciously, just how negative a nicotine habit is to your overall enjoyment in life so that your mind, both conscious and subconscious, knows, without any delusion, just how much intense suffering will come to you unless you change your course in life.
Now make that picture dimmer and less bright and move it away from you, and watch as it grows darker and smaller. Take a moment to see yourself free of your nicotine addiction in the future. Look at how much healthier you look and feel. You can breathe freely and enjoy the fresh air entering your lungs. Your skin is healthier and you look younger at an older age, while your clothes smell fresher and cleaner. You are totally free of all the physical problems smoking would have caused you. When thought about in this way, it is more pleasurable to not smoke. You’ve found other healthier ways to get pleasure and reward yourself. In fact, cigarettes are now truly disgusting to you. As you see yourself a tobacco-free person, notice, now, that you’re feeling fine, you’re so relieved, you’re so much more at peace, you’re so much happier, so much healthier, and now you’re freer to be who you really want to be. Notice how much more personally self-confident and filled with personal self-esteem you now look and feel.
You may not fully know this, but the positive changes that result from becoming a permanent nonsmoker come sooner and are more pervasive than you ever imagined, making smoking cessation more immediately rewarding for you. Twenty minutes after you have quit, your blood pressure drops back down to the level just before your last cigarette and the temperature of your hands and feet increase toward a more normal level. Eight hours after you have quit the carbon monoxide level in your blood will have returned to a normal level. Just 24 hours after you have stopped smoking, your chance of a heart attack will already be decreasing. In the following weeks your circulation will be improved and the functioning of your lungs, even as soon as several weeks to 3 months’ time, will have improved by 30%. In subsequent weeks you will be able to look forward to other significant health improvements. Sinus congestion, shortness of breath, and coughing will have decreased. The cilia function within your lungs will return to normal, enabling you to deal with mucous and clean the lungs, and thus reduce any infection. One year after quitting, your extra risk of heart disease will be half that of someone who has continued to be smoker. After 5 years the risk of a stroke can be reduced to that of a nonsmoker. Ten years after quitting smoking your lung cancer rate will be half of that of someone who has continued to smoke, and your risk of cancers of the mouth, throat, esophagus, pancreas, kidney, and bladder will all have decreased. Fifteen years after you have quit and become a permanent nonsmoker your risk of coronary heart disease will have fallen to that of someone who does not smoke. A 35-year-old man who becomes a permanent nonsmoker will, on average, increase his life expectancy by 5.1 years. And, of course, the quality of his life will be greatly increased during all his years, no matter how long he lives. Even smokers who quit after age 50 substantially reduce their risk of dying early. The argument that it is too late to quit smoking because the damage is already done is just not true.
It is important for people to know that nicotine is as addictive as cocaine and heroin. As matter of fact, it works to create and maintain an addiction in a way that is similar to those drugs. The addictive nature of nicotine is created by its ability to release dopamine in the brain, a chemical that creates feelings of pleasure. This is similar to the physiological and psychological effects of both cocaine and heroin. Recent research has shown that there is also some chemical in cigarette smoke that reduces the level of monoamineoxidase (MOA), which plays a role in breaking down dopamine. This helps create an overall increase in dopamine and thus contributes to the desire to keep taking more nicotine.
Cigar smokers who inhale absorb nicotine as rapidly as a cigarette smoker, while those who choose not to inhale absorb a significant amount of nicotine through the lining of their mouth, as do those who use smokeless tobacco. Even though these smokeless users do not hurt their lungs because they do not inhale tobacco smoke, the nicotine from their habit is still very highly addictive and causes the heart to beat faster and their blood pressure to go up. Chewing tobacco hurts a person’s ability to taste and smell, often causes damage to gum tissue, and can even result in the loss of teeth. More seriously, chewing tobacco is full of cancer causing chemicals that can give people cancers of the mouth, pharynx, larynx, and esophagus. Many people who get these particular cancers were users of chewing tobacco. So powerful are the cancer-causing chemicals in chewing tobacco that even very young users get these cancers.
Nicotine’s effects are short-lived within the body, leading people to continually give themselves more during the day. Eventually, the continued use of nicotine leads to what is referred to as tolerance. The drug is no longer as effective as it was, and people need higher and higher amounts of it just to get the same physiological and psychological effects that they experienced earlier. That is why people tend to increase their usage of nicotine-delivering substances the more they have been using them.
There are even short-term effects related to tolerance. Nicotine disappears from the body in a few hours and some tolerance is lost overnight. Smokers often report that the first cigarettes of the day, newly introducing nicotine to the body after several hours of forced abstinence during sleep, have the strongest effect and are enjoyed the best. As the day goes on, and they smoke more and more cigarettes, tolerance is created, and each cigarette has less effect.
Nicotine also suppresses the production of insulin by the pancreas, which acts to raise blood sugar and causes the liver to release glycogen into the blood. In addition, cigarettes themselves are actually between 8% and 18% sugar, so smokers who puff a cigarette frequently during the day are actually given themselves blood sugar-raising hits throughout the day. All this contributes to smokers experiencing a slight sugar high from increased blood glucose. As a result of all of this many smokers also experience a lessening of appetite. This may explain why people gain weight after stopping smoking. They are trying to maintain their prior elevated glucose level, which was found to be pleasurable. Any craving that a new nonsmoker might experience is most noticeable in the morning and mid-afternoon, when low blood sugar is no longer blocked by smoking.
Nicotine is biphasic in nature. It can both stimulate and relax a person, depending on how they smoke. Nicotine doesn’t work in the body the same way alcohol does, but they both exhibit biphasic activity. People often become uninhibited and more excitable after drinking, while at other times they may become sedated and eventually fall asleep.
Cessation of nicotine intake results in withdrawal symptoms that strongly influence anyone trying to end their tobacco use to start consuming it again. These symptoms can include headache, irritability, restlessness, tiredness, feelings of depression, poor concentration, and anger and frustration. While the most powerful influence on withdrawal is the pharmacological effects of nicotine, many behavioral aspects affect the nature of the withdrawal symptoms. For many smokers, the sight, feel, and smell of a cigarette and the rituals involved in obtaining, handling, lighting, and smoking the cigarette are all strongly associated with the pleasure of smoking and when absent can contribute to psychological feelings of withdrawal. While nicotine gum and patches can act to alleviate the pharmacological aspects of withdrawal, some cravings may persist because of these missed behavioral aspects of smoking. This is a problem in quitting smoking that can be easily dealt with and greatly minimized through the use of hypnosis.
One of the clearest indicators of the power of the effects of nicotine is that while over two-thirds of all tobacco users want to stop using it only a small number are able to do so permanently. Each year, nearly 35 million people make a concerted effort to quit smoking. Only 20% of those trying succeed in abstaining for as long as a year and only a small percent of these are able to do so by using willpower alone. Less than 7% succeed in abstaining for more than a year. Most of those trying to stop start smoking again within days.
Over 90% of smokers who try to quit without seeking treatment fail, with most relapsing within a week. Most smokers take several attempts to quit before they finally succeed.
To reduce the risk of lung cancer and other related cancers that are caused by smoking, smokers need to stop smoking completely. It has been found that the amount of carcinogens inhaled remains high even as they cut back on the number of cigarettes they use. Research has shown that this even applies when smokers are supplementing their intake of nicotine with the use of patches. The reason this is true is believed to be that the smokers inhale more deeply on the fewer cigarettes they do smoke to feed their addiction and the nicotine patches made little difference in how long and deeply the users inhaled the smoke from their cigarettes. Thus, the patches made little difference in the overall amount of carcinogens introduced into their bodies by their smoking habit. The conclusion is that patches do not significantly decrease a smoker’s risk of cancer. Possible theories as to why this is so is that patches fail to provide the high that the smokers desire, nor do they provide a substitute for the enjoyment that people get from the act of physically enjoying a cigarette. Another reason may be addictive compounds found in cigarette smoke that aren’t in the patches.
Sometimes in life failure is not necessarily an indicator of the difficulty or even the impossibility of accomplishing something. It just tells you what doesn’t work. Fortunately, seeing a qualified certified hypnotist is effective for changing a smoker into a nonsmoker for life. Not only do they become nonsmokers, but they do so more easily and comfortably then they ever expected. With the new cooperation of their subconscious they are able to lose their desire to smoke cigarettes and cigars. There is some physiological discomfort during the withdrawal period following the cessation of tobacco use, but with hypnosis these effects can be mitigated and the period of discomfort shortened. Hypnosis is also able to greatly reduce and even eliminate any tendency to gain weight after smoking cessation. In my clinical practice, I typically see clients only once for complete and permanent smoking cessation.

Hypnosis Q&A: Understanding Hypnosis Types by Hank Taylor
* What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis, in general, is a psychological situation wherein an individual shows signs of changes in the behavior, thought, or attitude. On the other hand, some people may undergo an increase in suggestibility and subjective feelings of an altered state of consciousness.”
The hypnosis applications varied widely. Some of the people include the use of hypnosis for entertainment and health functions.
Hypnosis is not a type of therapy. Most of the psychologist use hypnosis to conduct psychological related techniques. During the presentation of technique, the subject will learn how to obey the commands and engage in behavior they might not normally choose to perform.
* What is post-hypnotic suggestion?
Post-hypnotic suggestions are the feeling carried out after the termination of hypnosis. This feeling is the response of the subject to the specific suggestions of post-hypnotic phenomena. A suggestion is given apparently during hypnosis stage. During this stage stimulus is served while the act becomes a response.
A post-hypnotic suggestion and a conditioned reflex serve a similar purpose except that the former is not established by repetitive trial.
Normally the post-hypnotic suggestion is a compound task for the subject because it can turn into a more hypnotic injunction. It is often called out because of several single sessions of hypnosis.
* What is auto-suggestion?
Auto-suggestion more popularly called autogenous training is a process wherein the subject trains the part of subconscious mind. Normally it is being performed because the subject wants to create some particulars inside the mind. Some people want to practice autosuggestion training because they want to schematize their mental level for a given purpose.
Acceptance of auto-suggestions may be quickened through mental visualization of what the individual would like to believe. Autosuggestions can be seen as an aspect of self-exhorting”, meditations or other form of similar activities.
Applications of deliberate autosuggestions intended to change the way a subject believes in terms of physical or psychological aspects.
* Is highway hypnosis” really a kind of hypnosis?
Highway hypnosis is a mental state in which the person can drive an automobile in a great distance, responding to external events in the expected manner. In this state, the consciousness is clearly divided between the driving task and the person’s thoughts on several concerns.
Based upon the theory of Ernest Hilgard, the highway hypnosis was developed in a stream of consciousness. According to the theory, highway hypnosis can be a usual experience. The common sense suggests that when driving the full weight of consciousness is brought to mind reception.
* What is neuro-linguistic programming (NLP)?
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a compilation of pseudoscientific self-sustain rituals proposed for programming the mind. Richard Bandler and John Grinder introduced NLP in 1973 as a set of models and principles to describe the relationship between mind and language.
NLP is based upon the New Age principles such as the belief in unlimited potential through access to a subconscious part of the mind. Some psychologists describe it as a therapeutic magic”.
The practice of NLP is initially attracted mostly psychologist because of its magical effect. At the present times, it also attracts business and sales people.
* How is hypnosis different from meditation or relaxation?
Hypnosis does not have the exact process compared to meditation and relaxation. In the process of meditation or relaxation, the goal is to have a more relaxed and meditative state. This process can affect the body and mind in a better way.
What makes hypnosis different is that getting into the meditative state of mind and later on the hypnotic process will use the state of mind to transmit and deliver the messages throughout your body.
Compared to meditation, state of mind is the main goal of hypnosis and becomes actively responsive to words, thoughts, and ideas.

NLP Training Courses by People Building
I recently completed an NLP course and I am now a registered NLP Master Practitioner. My NLP training course, which was with an NLP training company called People Building, has enabled me to set up and practice confidently as a therapist. More importantly, I have learnt valuable life tools which I use and apply to my own life and which has enabled me to experience a refreshed perspective and more flexible ways of feeling and behaving.
I was so inspired with my NLP course that I went on to train further as a Master practitioner. However, just by completing an NLP practitioner course you will learn many things and have a good grounding in NLP, which will allow you to practice. This article discusses just a few of the techniques you will learn during your NLP training.
For anyone that communicates with anyone else (so that’s everyone!) you will be taught how to communicate more effectively by learning how to have better rapport in order to quickly gain a connection with others. You will learn how to understand and read body language and how to enter the world of others to understand them better.
On my NLP training course I also learnt how to change unwanted feelings and behaviors. There are many techniques for achieving this including Anchoring”, in which you will learn to fire off positive states in others and yourself at will. Via anchoring you can also learn to remove bad feelings associated to triggers from the past.
NLP also teaches you how to understand and utilize the strategies that we each run. Human beings have strategies for everything they do from getting out of bed, to shopping in the supermarket. On an NLP course, you will learn to design and install strategies for yourself and others to rapidly achieve your desired results. As a therapist this often involves understanding how a client runs a strategy for anxiety or stress. In a different setting, such as sales, NLP can teach you how to Illicit someone’s buying strategy or utilize a persons eye movements so that you can understand the strategies they use, and customize your sales techniques for each individual.
NLP has many informal techniques for change, which involve the artful use of language. Examples include utilizing questioning techniques that help a person identify their objectives and learning language patterns that create change in a person’s internal representation. In addition, NLP teaches you how to use language to create trance in others (Milton Model), use your language to get more specificity and deeper meaning within your conversation (Meta Model) and how to influence and negotiate with ease and power. Through the art of conversation, (NLP style!) you can enable others to become solution focused.
“Welcome to People Building, a self development company dedicated to inspiring growth, progression and better results in your life. It is our privilege to present to you authentic NLP and Hypnosis training at NLP Practitioner Level, NLP Master Practitioner and Hypnotherapy Diploma, for those in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and London. We will never cease to evolve, and it gives me great pleasure, to invite you with us on this epic adventure”. http://www.peoplebuilding.co.uk

The Power Of Conversational Hypnosis Review Conversation Hypnosis Course by Ricky Tan
You have probably watched a horror movie where the vampire speaks to some character and that character just agrees to everything the vampire said. It is easy to conclude that the character was hypnotized. Now, have you ever heard of conversational hypnosis? Basically what happens in a conversation hypnosis is the same as what you see on the movies except for the vampire, of course.
Imagine speaking to anyone and getting that person to agree to all you have to say in addition to doing any of your bidding. Sounds surreal and unbelievable, you may say. But there is now a course that tells you it is possible and can even teach you how it’s done.
That course is the power of conversational hypnosis by Igor Ledochowski. Igor is a master hypnotist and have run specialized courses that trains hypnotherapists such as the London College Of Clinical Hypnosis and the Hypnotherapy Association.
In his site, it will show you how the course can teach you about conversational hypnosis. There are even testimonies to prove the effectiveness of this hypnosis. The testimonies and the detailed description on the topics covered by the course can attract a lot of consumers to go for this conversational hypnosis.
Meanwhile, skeptics will definitely question the validity and the truth behind this type of hypnosis. Ask yourself if you have ever met someone, a real person who can vouch that this method actually works?
Probably not, but the best way to find out if this is real or a hoax would be to test this yourself. There is a 60 day money back guarantee for the power of conversational hypnosis so if after you have gone through the hypnosis course and it does not work, you can always ask for a refund within 60 days.
The techniques presented in the course are presented by expert hypnotists with many years of experience including teaching other hypnotherapists in specialized fields so you can’t go wrong with it.

The Life And Death Of Joe Rowley by Brian Green two
The Life And Death Of Joe Rowley. Alcoholism And Addiction In Action.
The funny thing is, I didn’t know Joe that well.
He was only an acquaintance really, a drinking acquaintance, not a close friend of mine by any stretch of the imagination. A ship that passed in the drink and drug soaked long dark night of my soul. So why was it that when I heard of his death, six thousand miles away, and more than a sober year or two after our last contact, that I was moved to tears? I cannot find a full explanation yet, it remains a teasing and tantalizing will o’ the wisp, dancing on the peripheral fringes of my consciousness. Perhaps in writing this and recounting the facts of the matter, I will be able to find some resolution, as I still get teary, some thirty years later, when I think of Joe, and the manner of his end.
I had moved from London, our English capital city, to Brighton, a small seaside holiday town about sixty miles South, with it’s more provincial ambience. Also, as a holiday resort, it possessed a subclass that derived much of it’s income from the periodic influx of tourists. These people ranged from those who provided legitimate services, such as board and lodging, a well known genera including such sub-species as seaside landladies and hotel workers, to the more exploitative, such as bargirls, and the downright predatory, such as pick-pockets and pimps. Graham Green in his novel Brighton Rock, gives his grim, gray, grainy portrait of these under classes, with their admixture of petty criminality, that populate this underside of Brighton society; and the sordid parabolas of fungal doom that constitute the nightblooming of their lives. Probably not so different from many towns whose income is in some large part derived from similar sources.
Joe, earning his living as a beach photographer, was mid-range in his grubby occupation. A bit exploitative of the visitors, with his persistent persuasive importunings, as he prevailed upon tourists to purchase his services, hawked on the promenade and lower beachfront, without going as far as to actually insert his hand into their pocket. Myself, drinking within bar patios on the lower beachfront level, had plenty of opportunity to observe Joe ply his trade. Manipulating vacationers with what I now realize was an underlying, but ever present, driving desperation. Joe would be a clown for people, mock himself, present himself in any way he thought would ingratiate. He uttered his smoothly flowing conman patter, it poured out of his mouth without seeming effort, as he at times literally capered in front of a prospect whose path he had blocked. Joe had the gift of the gab. For me, this was observed mainly during the daytime, on sunny public holidays or weekends, which attracted me to the vicinity of his beat. Lucrative times for Joe, but he was probably similarly engaged most other days too, unless it was raining, or too cold and windy, or all three, on that coast of frequent hurtling squalls. God knows how he got by in some of the savage months of Winter.
Now and again Joe would take a break, and join the company for a beer, camera slung around his neck, like some disreputable reporter from the holiday beachhead, before resuming his endeavors. Conversing and joking around, always active and animated, bouncy with a cheerful ready wit, nut-brown from the regular exposure to the sun that he absorbed as the condition of his line of work, he was an entertaining companion. Perhaps a bit of a rough diamond, with his short crew cut hair lending an oafish look to his short and stocky build, part soldier, part gangster thug. Though he hardly stood out in this seafront assembly of drinkers, daylight ladies of the evening, hustlers, midday drunken tourists, misfits and ne’er do wells of every stripe. You understand, the usual potpourri of riff raff to be found in such places. For all his chunky masculinity, I never saw Joe with a woman. It’s not that he gave any indication that he was gay. He just seemed more at ease and more often at home in the company of men. Though in all conscience, he was seemingly as relaxed when my then wife was present drinking with me, passing the time of day with her in amiable chit chat and superficial banter. Joe gave no indication of superior education or culture either. His language was commonplace, salty and vulgar on occasion as it might be. He never infringed on a topic of any meaning, all was pitched on a mundane everyday level. Only the quickness of his sharp wit at times revealed there might be more intelligence to Joe than was normally allowed to be visible. Of course, even in those quarters, as elsewhere, rapid wit and skills at repartee gain their owner respect, so Joe probable felt it safe to show them.
One late sunny Sunday morning, Joe entered the seafront bar I happened to be patronizing. After buying his first drink, he began pitching me his service. Making me a “mark”, a “John”, a breach of ethics really, you don’t con your own tribe. But I was not a close member, a hippy, with long hair, a full beard, unusual for that time and place. I had financial status too, owner of a car and a three-bedroom house, host of noisy weekend revels to the town’s gallimaufry of colorful characters. But his likeability was disarming, the amount of money was small to me, and I enjoyed the pitter of his patter and the easy grace with which he propositioned me, taking it all in with detached amusement while knowing exactly what he was doing. I also knew, he would take something back from whatever I gave him, at the special cut rate that he was using to tempt me, (after all we were friends weren’t we, so he was offering me a good deal on that basis). I just knew he would screw me somehow. My intuition was vindicated later when he gave me the roll of film he took, leaving me to pay for the cost of developing it, with some barefaced shameless flim-flam explanation of why he was doing so. I just laughed. Now I see the covert desperation was his driving need for money to drink. Perhaps on some inner level I knew and sympathized, feeling more fortunate, as my need for drink and drugs was just as driving, but my means were more equal to my needs.
I would also see Joe in another bar, or a pub as they are also termed in England, a mostly weekend evening hangout, where I often sat in with the musicians. This was one of the several pubs we frequented that sold British apple wine. Because it was home produced and carried no import tax on it’s alcohol content, it was comparatively pretty cheap, as strong as sherry, relatively palatable, and with the well-deserved reputation for creating a crazed drunkenness. This of course only added to the popularity of Merrydown, as it was named with an arch touch of drollery. Several times, early in the evening, which perhaps accounts for the fact that I was conscious enough to retain the memory, Joe would join me at the bar. This was in fact where he returned the undeveloped roll of film to me on one occasion. He would order a glass of Merrydown, which arrived in a capacious tumbler, full to the brim, and leave it on the bar. He would ignore his drink, chatting casually, as if it were of no interest, as if he had half forgotten it. After a few minutes or so, as if catching sight of it, as if vaguely remembering what he was engaged in, “Oh yes, I have a drink somewhere don’t I?”, he would pick it up with a smooth rapidity, raising his glass as he tilted his head back, and drain the entire contents in one set of swift gulping swallows. Then swinging the glass down in a wide arc to crash it on the bar, he would look at me and state rhetorically, “We’re such bastards Brian, aren’t we? Such bastards!” And then order another, and another, and another, each accompanied by a repeat performance. The dissembler with beads of sweat on his forehead. That were not created by the warm evening. Now I realize how badly Joe needed those drinks, he had reached the stage of physically addicted alcoholism, and I was close on his heels. So why the charade? What was he hiding from whom? Not wanting to admit his “weakness”, I guess he wanted to keep some shred of self-respect, some faade that hid reality as much from himself, as from others. Pretending he wasn’t so desperately in need of the drink that in actuality he was so desperately in need of.
Now if the party, i.e. the drunken debauch, was not at my house, mostly we would congregate at Grace and Gordon’s basement flat, and Joe would infrequently show up there too, late into the night. Grace was known even among us as an as an outrageous alcoholic. Arising around noon, she would spend two hours putting on her makeup with shaking hands, while consuming large glasses of Merrydown, or anything alcoholic that had been donated by a guest the night before. Or lacking a commercial product, resorting to her still cloudy homebrewed wine, that had barely finished fermenting. Ugh! Every morning, without fail. By nightfall she was roaring drunk and ready to party. Gordon was a fabulous, almost mythic figure. Sporting a military moustache, a relic of his service in the army, which he detested, the thinning hair was drawn back into an incongruent silky blondish ponytail, barely concealing his balding crown. Again an even more unusual deviant appearance considering his age, at this time and in this place. Gordon loved his drink too, was highly enamored of pot, and took far more amphetamines than he let on. Grace smoked weed if it was around, as did most on this scene, but booze was her first true love without any question. Both of them were some ten years senior to myself, at that time in my early thirties. Grace latterly was taking pills for the flashes of light across her vision, and the sudden pains shooting down her face. It was so obvious her drinking caused them, except to her Doctor of course, to whom she probably lied anyway. After I left I heard she was admitted to hospital with a diagnosis of some kind of “nerve problem.” Ha! I’ll say. From Grace and Gordon I think I remember half hearing in some dim hallucinatory state, the story that Joe had once owned a nightclub in South London, but had had it taken from him by the coercion of some brutal gangsters. That would account for his air of toughness. And then, during his descent, his wife had deserted him. You might think this was Joe’s tragedy, but I now see it was so much more than only that.
One night, around one or two am, Joe shows up at Grace and Gordon’s. He is as stoned as we are, and sits slumped in silence, almost collapsed, in an armchair. The music is turned down low, and the conversation sluggish and intermittent, all of those present being in their own sunken state of chemical torpor. All of a sudden, during a pause, a moment of silence, Joe begins to speak. To recite actually. Joe is reciting a lengthy poem.. from memory. And not only that, he is expressing himself with a phenomenal artistry. Every nuance of feeling, every scintilla of meaning, Joe is wringing it out of the poem, displaying the delicate, sensitive, subtle sensibilities of a truly poetic soul. His eyes are dull with a distant look. It is almost as if he is semi-conscious, and some other inhabitant of his inner world is speaking through him. Some deeply buried part of him has sprung to life, and Joe himself seems almost unaware of what he is doing. In the doom ridden besotted gloom we are entranced, enthralled, held spellbound by his words and their meaning, in one of those rare jeweled moments of timeless eternity that are occasionally found set amongst the dregs of drugged and drunken time warps. Who could of known Joe had this in him? I cannot even recall the poem at all, but I know it had greatness, a loveliness that Joe crystallized out of his own being. I only recall that feeling of sacred awe at witnessing the beauty of Joe’s hugeness, and the quality of his intellect and sensitivity, penetrating and encompassing on every level, each and every nook and cranny of his poem. For all I know, he wrote it himself.
So the real tragedy of Joe Rowley was one of this more significant loss. The prostitution of his talents, wasting himself to survive. That sadness in some place inside breeding such guilt, remorse and self-hatred, “We’re such bastards Brian, aren’t we? Such bastards!” As he was forced to abandon and betray himself over and over again. Never knowing that his addiction to alcohol was relentlessly consuming his life and being, completely out of any control by who he thought he was. The victim of a state of mind and body of which he had no comprehension. Never knowing of his own goodness. Never cognizant of his own great heart and the sweetness of his shining spirit, which stood so briefly revealed in those phantasmagoric moments, when the curtain of his lesser being was drawn aside. Driven down to ever lower depths of self-degradation and self-destruction by the loveless nightmare scourge of his alcoholism. Till he reached that inevitable terminal nadir, that deep pit, so deep that the only escape from it is through the still deeper bottom that is death. The news I received, later and so far away, was that Joe had choked on his own vomit, while unconscious from a combination of alcohol and sleeping pills, like so many before and since. This was his swansong.
And my sorrow for Joe.. perhaps is not only for him.. perhaps this is the explanation for that fleeting recurrent source of tears. I see so much of myself and my life reflected in Joe and his life.. so much of what was true of him has been true of me. At least, since writing this, no tears well up as I think of him. And then there are the myriad matching marching cohorts.. past, present and future.. treading some such path to some such similar an end.
I never had that film Joe took of me developedâ
I lost it some time ago â.
Somewhere along the way.

Do you or someone you love currently suffer from excessive sweating? If so … I urge you to read this letter to find out how this problem can be cured naturally in less than two weeks!
Now, I know for those of you who’ve been battling sweat problems for most of your life the above claim may sound outrageous but I assure you it’s true and in a second I’m going to prove it …
But first … let me tell you a little more about myself and my own life-long battle with excessive sweat.
I Know What You’re Going Through â
Hello, my name is Mike Ramsey and I’ve been exactly where you are now. I’ve experienced excessive sweating and the feelings of embarrassment, depression and anxiety that often accompany this condition.
Believe me when I say:
I know how it feels to be embarrassed by your appearanceâ
I know how it feels to live in constant fear, wondering if you smell bad or not â
I know how it feels to be desperate for a solution â
Here’s My Story â
My battle with excessive underarm sweat actually started in high school where it caused a lot of frustration for me.
I avoided social situations and backed down from potentially embarrassing events such as dances, dates and parties all because of my problem.
But as bad as high school was it still wasn’t half as bad as my experiences in an office environment that began when I was 27. This was when my problem really started taking its toll on me.
At that time, surrounded by and interacting with colleagues 8 to 10 hours a day, I was constantly concerned about my underarms â a distraction that caused me to lose hours of productivity every week. My self-esteem and self-confidence (which were already low) plummeted even further.
I became desperate for a solution to my embarrassing problem â and in my desperation I tried everything I could think of …
I tried more than a dozen types of antiperspirants (even prescription antiperspirants).
I tried applying antiperspirants several times a day.
I wore undershirts to soak up the sweat before it reached my outer shirt.
When one undershirt wasn’t enough, I tried wearing two undershirts.
When I was in my car (alone) I would hold up my arms, aligning them with the air conditioner vents, allowing cold air to flow up my sleeve to cool and dry my armpits.
When sitting at my desk I tried to keep my arms away from my sides so that my shirt had less contact with my underarms and would not soak in the sweat so quickly.
I took showers morning and night. Sometimes I would also come home during lunch to shower.
I wore oversized shirts for better ventilation and to keep my underarms from contacting my shirt. (This didn’t work because the sweat would just drip down to my sides and create wet marks near my waistline.)
I brought clean undershirts to work and changed several times daily.
I purchased a device that pushed electric currents through my skin and was supposed to stop underarm sweat for a period. I never found out whether it worked or not because it was incredibly uncomfortable and painful to use, and I knew this was not the solution to my problem. (I don’t know if they still sell these, but I would not recommend them to my worst enemy – ouch!)
But Absolutely Nothing
I Tried Worked â
So I was about to give up hope when my wife and I attended a local seminar on natural health.
As I was sitting in the seminar all I could focus on one thing â my problem with underarm sweat. (I couldn’t help it because my underarms were getting wet just sitting in the classroom.)
While the speaker never specifically addressed underarm sweat, all of the pieces to the puzzle began to come together for me as he spoke.
I began constructing a plan in my head to stop my problem once and for all.
Guess what? Within a few weeks, my excessive sweating stopped and has never come back!
“A lifetime solution – looking forward to the summer”
Before getting your book, everything I tried had little or no effect. And if it did work, it was always temporary. Where has this book been all my life???
I followed the directions you gave and it started working immediately. You were right on target. And I see why you call it a lifetime solution.
I don’t dread going outside any more and I am actually looking forward to the summer. THANK YOU!

I’m 16 years old and have had a problem with sweating for several years. Last week I talked my Dad into buying the book for me since I’m totally broke.
He made me promise that I’d remember to ask for my money back if it didn’t work because he didn’t think that it would.
I can tell you that it started working the very next day and it’s gotten better every day. This is great. Thanks.

“They have to try this – I’m not sweating.”
My sweating was so bad I thought nobody could have it as bad as me. If I was around anyone besides my family or friends I would sweat horribly. I couldn’t believe it when I read your website because everything you say sounds totally like me.
I hated having to hug people because I was always afraid they would feel my wet shirt. And I always tried to figure out how to not have to get up in front of class or get in front of people.
I have been very happy with the results so far. It’s probably been 7 or 8 days since I’ve been doing it and I’m not sweating. You need to tell everyone that they have to try this. Thank you!!!!

Hypnosis Denver
Hypnosis Denver
Kansas, Or Oz? by Richard Lefever
‘Welcome to my morning, welcome to my day.
Yes, I’m the one responsible, I made it just this way.’
(Farewell Andromeda, John Denver)
The alarm clock goes off, and a deep sleep unceremoniously crashes into another morning. Bleary eyed, after a speedy debate over 5 to ten more minutes of blessed ‘snooze alarm time’ you drag yourself to wakefulness. Gracelessly you stumble to the toilet, the coffee maker, and (shudder) perhaps that first cigarette as you reluctantly storm the gates of this new day. In a pattern set in stone since soon after puberty, we drag ourselves into the morning with a mumbled curse, our brain seemingly over-wrinkled like a well slept in suit.
Or……
Your first waking thought is ‘Incredible! It’s morning!” You bound out of bed like a well lubricated gazelle. Your eyes are wide and excited. Thrilled to greet the morning!
What makes that difference? Is one an anomaly, and the other the norm? If so, which is which?
If you have the choice, which one would you choose? Or is there a happy medium between ecstasy and ennui that would be more to your liking?
Exploring the difference between these two morning states is an endeavor well worth the time, and unusual requirements of belief suspension and perspective shifting, required. Here are a couple of simple tips to get you started.
First, pretend like you get to choose your morning tone just like yo get to set your phone’s ring tone. Imagine you get to write the script for your first waking thought. Would you choose Oh bother, it’s morning again!” or Wow! It’s morninglet’s Go!” As you consider, I ask that you actually imagine a voice behind you saying those two lines. Do it now.
Which of the two feels better? Or, if you don’t care for my words write your own script for a glorious first thought. As you get ready to fall asleep each evening, remind yourself of what your new and improved first thought is going to be. Practice it a few times before you drop off to sleep. When you awaken, get into the habit of mentally repeating that script, even if, for the first few mornings, it isn’t technically your first thought. A trick I used initially to remind myself was to set a sock on top of my alarm clock just before I went to sleep. Having to fight through the sock to hit the ‘snooze’ button in the morning eventually, after a few confused responses, reminded me to repeat my new morning script. Soon the new script becomes automatic, and a self-fulfilling prophecy for your day.
Secondly, if you are going to rewrite your morning script, why not set it to music. Imagine swaggering into your morning shower to the James Bond theme song. Think of what music would serve as the best sound track for your new script. If you have an alarm clock that can wake you to music, set it up to wake you to this song (my favorite is Fanfare for the Common Man” performed by Emerson, Lake, and Palmer). If you don’t have that sophisticated of an alarm clock, simply pick your tune and mentally hum a few bars before you go to sleep, and make the determination that you will repeat that tune upon first awakening. As you remember your early morning script, you will also easily recall the rousing tune. Mentally hum or whistle the tune, or even do so out loud…a rousing background to your new morning. Both music and script will aim those first few minutes of your morning in a direct line toward a glorious day.
With a bit of practice you’ll start each day with a rousing script and soundtrack that will start your day with verve and excitement. Where you go from there is up to you!

Excellent Values of Conversational Hypnosis by Robert Martin
Conversational hypnosis is the technique to hypnotize someone through simple conversations without their awareness. Practicing this way of hypnosis is quite difficult because it is much necessary to build a rapport with the person whom you are communicating with. Milton Erickson was the first person to propose the idea of conversational hypnosis. Conversational hypnosis, otherwise called Covert hypnosis is the process of communicating with the sub conscious minds of others through casual conversation. Through the indirect ideas and body actions, you can bring the person to a relaxed state and can get hold of his mind which makes possible the hypnosis.
Covert hypnosis has certain benefits with itself. Using this simple technique, you can help others solve their problems and can suggest ideas to overcome difficult situations thereby making them free from stress and tensions. Medical practitioners use conversational hypnosis to cure patients from mental disorders. You can help overcome mental depressions and other health problems. The exceptional value of the power of conversational hypnosis is that it can be done anywhere. To make the efficient use of this mind control hypnosis, you must build an excellent rapport with the person and should best know his emotional feelings so that his sub conscious mind gets involved in the conversation. This would best help the parents to know the thoughts and feelings of their kids.
Unlike the Black ops hypnosis, this technique never uses any force or power to hypnotize a person. The power of conversational hypnosis influences the people and helps them feel stress free most times. Ericksonian hypnosis and some other techniques and tricks are involved in Underground hypnosis which can be learned easily through hypnosis courses. This technique helps you hypnotize anyone by a normal conversation and provides you tips to make use of conversational hypnosis in a better way. Proper training and ability to learn hypnotic techniques are much essential to perform conversational hypnosis.
Earlier the method of Street hypnosis was in common use. Street hypnotists would make the subject perform activities obeying his order to entertain the people. Many other techniques of hypnosis were also prevalent which involves much care and attention. But conversational hypnosis is simply different from other methods. Just by communicating with a person, you can best know his feelings and thoughts, you can suggest him ideas to overcome his depressions. Various hypnotherapy courses are available to understand the power of conversational hypnosis. Learning how to hypnotize is made easy with the help of certain hypnosis courses.
Effective courses can help the beginners learn hypnotism in a fast and simple way. Monthly training and covert hypnosis courses can help you more to influence people. How To Learn Hypnosis by Nick C.
Options To Learn Hypnosis
Anyone who wants to learn hypnosis will find there are a lot of options. The best road to take will depend a whole lot on what a person hopes to achieve when they learn hypnosis. The suggested training for a clinician, for example, might be different than what a performer might desire to take.
The options available to learn hypnosis include:
Books. It is quite possible to learn hypnosis simply from reading. Some of the techniques involved that allow a person to learn hypnosis are not terribly complex, especially in the case of self hypnosis. More advanced techniques might require formalized training, but it is entirely possible to learn hypnosis by self teaching.
Online articles. Just as it is with books, it is possible to find all sorts of great lessons about how to learn hypnosis online. From self hypnosis techniques to mass hypnosis methods, they can all be found in different locations online.
Seminars. Some actual schools offer seminars that help people learn hypnosis. These seminars generally involve only the most basic of techniques, but that’s not always the case. From mass hypnosis to self hypnosis, seminars, both paid and free, can be just the ticket for anyone who wants to learn hypnosis.
College classes. Many universities offer classes that enable certain students to learn hypnosis or at least its major techniques. Typically taught within the psychology field, these courses are meant to help those who need to learn hypnosis for the clinical setting.
Hypnosis schools. There are actual schools that help people learn hypnosis. Offering everything from the very basic to the very advanced, these schools typically offer certification that’s recognized by the state they are in and beyond. This can be one of the best ways to learn hypnosis as these schools specialize in this method of relaxation and improvement and nothing more.
The reasons to learn hypnosis are many. They might, however, dictate the course to take to learn hypnosis. Let’s look:
Self motivation. When a person endeavors to learn hypnosis for their own personal benefit, books and online courses can often help.
Performance. Some people choose to learn hypnosis for stage acts. It’s possible to do this in seminars, schools and even by self teaching.
Clinical application. Those who want to learn hypnosis to help others often seek out more formalized training. Whether it’s to help people break addictions, face weight loss issues or even turn over a new leaf, this form of hypnosis is more specialized that the others typically. Formalized classes can be of real benefit for those who want to learn hypnosis to assist others.
There are plenty of ways to learn hypnosis. Learning it right and mastering it might take time, but it can be done.

Are You Capable Of Learning Self Hypnosis? by Bill Urell
If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself goes the age old expression. When it comes to the subject of hypnosis, however, many people do not feel the do it yourself model applies. In reality, the art of self hypnosis is something that with a little bit of effort, anyone could learn.
While, of course, it would be beneficial to have a qualified expert in hypnosis put you under his spell, it may not always be practical or affordable. When one considers the fact that people are interested in having hypnosis performed on them in order to correct a problem that they might be facing. Perhaps they are having an incredible amount of difficulty trying to quit smoking. What if they are struggling with repressed memories? How about individuals losing the battle with overeating and need an atypical solution to their own problems? What about those souls who must quit smoking in order to eliminate hazards to their health? In other words, there are an unlimited number of reasons why self hypnosis would definitely provide a solution to a problem that a person might be having.
There are quite a number of books, CDs and audiotapes on the market covering the basics of self hypnosis. While no one will become an expert on the subject overnight, if a person is serious about learning self hypnosis and dedicates the necessary amount of time in order to develop a functional working knowledge then they will be able to reap the rewards of such efforts.
For those who may not grasp the skills needed for learning self hypnosis, there are a number of workshops that are offered that provide some basic instruction in the art of self hypnosis. Many times, experts in the field will travel from city to city offering a touring road show version of their teaching skills. Of course, these type of workshops are definitely profit driven so the ticket prices for the events just might be way up there. However, for the amount of money that a ticket might cost the benefits that are provided will be well worth it, particularly if the attendees walk away understanding how to properly conduct self hypnosis.
For those who may not have an expert coming to their town or might not be able to afford a high priced workshop, then it might be prudent to check out what the local community centers in the area have to offer in terms of learning hypnosis. Also, one could check and see if the subject is offered in a continuing education program at a local college or university. Most continuing education programs are quite affordable so price may not be an issue in this venue.
Now there is a gallery of powerful hypnosis education information yours for the taking. Decide now to improve the quality of your life. Click here: Self Hypnosis Info

People Building Newsletter No.1 by People Building
Hello People!
In this issue of our newsletter, we’ve gone all serious and studious (some might say defensive!) and we have been busy trawling the academic literature for research studies about NLP and hypnosis. We found extensive studies to support the efficacy of hypnosis in a range of settings and they are mostly of high quality and well-designed by boffins in the medical world. Perhaps not surprisingly, as NLP is a mere toddler, in therapy terms, there’s not as much research but we still managed to find some really interesting stuff, so hope you enjoy it!!
Hypnotherapy studies
Well there are massive amounts of research in this area and hypnotherapy has been found to be effective in reducing pain in studies where brave volunteers have been exposed to various not very nice stimuli such as painful heat or tourniquets around their arms! On a more serious note, hypnotherapy has also been shown to reduce acute and chronic pain associated with illness and disease, promoting well-being and being linked to reduced depression anxiety and stress.
1. Domangue (1985) carried out a neurochemical study of hypnotic control of pain. Domangue found that depression was negatively correlated with levels of serotonin and beta endorphin and that following hypnotherapy there were both clinically and statistically significant decreases in depression, anxiety and pain and increases in beta-endorphin-like substances.
2. Barabasz and Barabasz (1989) studied a sample of 20 patients with a varied chronic pain syndromes. They used a Hypnotic technique known as Restricted Environmental Stimulation Therapy (REST). All of the patients were initially rated as having low Hypnotic susceptibility on the Stanford Hypnotic Susceptibility Scale (SHSS). Following exposure to the training technique, the subjects demonstrated significant increases in both SHSS scores and in pain reduction when compared to controls.
3. A study Gutfeld and Rao (1992) was conducted with 42 patients suffering from chronic headaches. These patients, all of whom had not responded well to conventional treatments, were split into two groups. One received Hypnotherapy to relieve their daily headaches; the rest acted as a control group. The Hypnotherapy group experienced reduced frequency and duration of headaches, cutting the intensity by about 30%.
4. Kuttner (1988) found that a Hypnotic approach emphasizing storytelling and imagery was significantly more effective than behavioral techniques or standard medical practice in alleviating distress during bone marrow aspirations in young children with leukemia.
NLP Studies
What’s interesting about the NLP studies is the variety, here are just a few to whet your appetite!
Baxter, 1994, Journal of Clinical Psychiatry – “Clients with obsessive compulsive disorder had raised activity in neural networks inside the caudate nucleus of the brain (demonstrated on PET scans of the brain). Drugs such as Prozac raise serotonin levels and the caudate nucleus activity is thus reduced. Baxter found that when clients repeated a simple reframe to themselves, the Positron Emission Tomography scan showed the same raising of serotonin levels and the same lowering of activity in the caudate nucleus.
Buckalew and Ross, 1981, “Relationship of Perceptual Characteristics to Efficacy of Placebos”, reported in Psychological Reports – Visual submodalities have been shown to affect kinesthetic states, for example room color has an effect on temperature perception (Berry, “Effect of Coloured Illumination Upon Perceived Temperature”, Journal of Applied Psychology 45/4) and packaging color changes the effectiveness of the placebo effect.
“Awareness of Meaningful Sounds Under General Anaesthesia. “Theoretical and Clinical aspects of Hypnosis”, Symposium Specialists, 1981 – “In one of the clearest demonstrations of the [NLP/Milton Model] ability to communicate with a person’s (literally) unconscious mind, Cheek induced 3000 fully anaesthetised patients to produce hand movements as signals for “yes” and “no” [to answer questions], obviously without their conscious knowledge.”
Swack, 1992, A Study of Initial Response and Reversion Rates of Subjects Treated With The Allergy technique) – Dr Judith Swack showed that allergies in humans can also be removed by psychological means, in a small study of ten people who had a variety of allergies (cats, dust, flowers, cigarette smoke etc). Seven of the ten responded to the NLP “ten minute allergy process” by become completely response-free. Over two years, the results reduced, as three of the seven regained some allergic response. Interestingly, of the three who initially got no success with the allergy process, two became allergy free following the use of other NLP techniques (eg Time Line Therapy and V/K dissociation). In this study, the success of the 10 minute process outside the context of NLP generally was initially 70% and on long term follow-up 40%, and the success of NLP in treating allergies was 100%
Of course, studies are important but what will be more meaningful to you as a practitioner is the results you get in your therapy room!

Free Events
This has been the first time People Building have run free events and they have been very successful, filling the February training on the last free event. We had one frosty night when the audience was so miserable that we felt like vacating the room and leaving them to it!! In fact, we did a collapsed anchor technique that night to rid ourselves of any bad associations that we had to the room!! We have met some great people along the way and are looking forward to getting to know them even better, when training commences in February. We are running some more Free NLP and Hypnotherapy tasters this year. There are no longer spaces left on February’s practitioner training but we still have spaces for March. Those that attend the Free event will be entitled to receive the discounted price for training.

Gemma’s food for thought….
I sometimes have clients come to see me in my private practice who are put off by the fact that I look young for my age. When clients express this concern I usually reply with You are welcome to find yourself an older therapist and I would like you to consider whether quantity of years equates to the quality of the therapists skills.” Never be put off about the doubts that others may have about your abilities, the day you are influenced by someone else’s doubt of you, is the day you doubt yourself.
No organisation represents more achievement now, than People Building.”
