It is impossible to achieve any real measure of success if your have negative mental programs that are in direct opposition to the things you are trying to achieve.
Many self improvement techniques encourage you to fill your mind with positive thoughts and mental images without properly addressing the fact that your mind is full of negative programming that needs to be eliminated. This is where hypnosis can be invaluable as it can force the mind to reprogram this negative behaviour.
I am about to give you a simple NLP technique that can be used on its own. However, this technique can also be used during a self hypnosis trance to supercharge your efforts. It’s very powerful and will reprogram your mind for success. Anyone who has used this approach has received immense benifit and witnessed amazing changes occurring in their lives!
1. Decide on a something you would like to have, be or do.
2. Imagine having, doing or being that very thing in this moment right now. Take note of how you view that scene in your mind. Is it large or small? Is it colour or black and white? Is it to the left, middle or right? Is it life-size and clear? Or is it small and hazy?
3. Now, think of something that you do well and know you are already great at – it doesn’t matter what it is just as long as you feel that you are good at it. How do you see that picture in your mind’s eye? Is it large or small? Is it colour or black and white? Is it to the left, middle or right? Is it life-size and clear? Or is it small and hazy?
4. See how these two images differ. Note how they appear in your mind differently from each other.
5. Now I want you to take the visualized image you created of the thing that you want to happen and make it identical in shape, colour, contrast, clarity, size and position as the image of the thing you do well.
6. Visualize this scene in the same way everyday for 30 days and you will retrain your mind. Every time you think of your goal or desire ensure the picture you have in your head is displayed in the same way as a picture of something you are good at. This forces your subconscious mind to reprogram any negative thought patterns that are contrary to your desire.
Your mind thinks is very specific ways and although the above exercise may seem very simple to you it is extremely powerful and if you take the time to do it and ensure you think of your desires is this way in future you will ensure your success.

Instant induction techniques are very useful in many settings. They shouldn’t be restricted to the stage because they work so well in many situations. Have you ever been at a party and someone finds out that you do hypnosis, and that person says, “Show me something”? As a hypnotist who is accomplished instant induction, you will have many ways to answer this question. For Instant induction you learn how to do really good suggestibility testing, quick inductions and demonstrations. As you might imagine, a slow, progressive relaxation induction will not answer the mail in this sort of situation.
First, I want to talk about safety in instant induction because this is paramount. Instant induction often involves shock which can be dangerous if it’s not done properly. The first thing you want to do with anyone that you do a instant induction on, is determine is if that person has any arm or neck problems, any arm or neck problems that could be exacerbated by doing instant induction. Most of these instant inductions will involve a sudden movement or sound. It could be an arm pull induction where you will just jerk the arm very quickly. This could injure the subject who has an elbow problem, shoulder problem or neck problem. I once worked with a subject who was a very type-A personality, and just didn’t think she could be hypnotized and to tell you the truth, I was wondering that myself. And so, I thought, “Well, I’ll just use an instant induction.” But when I asked if she had any shoulder or elbow or wrist problems or any neck problems she said, “Well, I did have that operation where they fused three of my vertebrae
on my neck together,” so obviously she wasn’t a good candidate for an instant induction. She had that operation where they cut you through the front of your neck and open you up so that they don’t have to cut through the muscles in the back of the neck. Then they go in and fuse some of your vertebrae. So an instant induction would be dangerous for her because sometimes there’s a tendency for the head to go forward.
Also sometimes after instant induction you’ll notice me doing that head roll deepener and that would have been very, very bad. So I asked the question and I found out that she was not a good candidate for an instant induction. So I didn’t use that on her. I did something else. I did an instant induction on her using confusion. So always, always check if there are any preexisting conditions that would make using an instant induction dangerous.

You know you shouldn’t. You made a decision that you weren’t going to do this anymore. You know it’s the right thing to do. You know that your life will be better for it. But, You do it anyway.
All the while you tell yourself that it’s okay because this is the last time. You’re only going to do it once more and then you’ll quit. After all, it’s always easier to quit tomorrow than it is today.
If you have a bad habit you know this scenario all too well. It seems like it ought to be easy. We all have free will right? Just stop. If only it were that easy.
You see, our habits aren’t really controlled by our conscious mind. The powerful and compelling emotions and cravings that drive us toward our bad behavior come from our subconscious mind.
What’s worse, your subconscious mind won’t listen to reason. It’ll ignore the most rational and persuasive argument you can muster. In fact, your subconscious mind isn’t even capable of rational thought. Instead, it is driven and consumed by emotions and feelings.
Therefore, your subconscious can only be persuaded by powerful images, desires and intense emotions. But it’s not enough to just visualize yourself free of your bad habits because your conscious mind acts like a filter. It prevents much of what you experience from entering your subconscious mind.
So you must not only create powerful emotional images to persuade your subconscious mind, you also have to get past your own consciousness with these images before they will have any effect on your subconscious mental scripts.
That’s why hypnosis has been proven to work so well for personal habit change. It can by-pass the filtering process of your conscious mind and allow you to deliver your emotionalized message right into your subconscious mind.
The results are sometimes very powerful. Imagine how much easier it would be to quit any bad habit you might have if you didn’t have those nagging cravings; if the compulsion to indulge your bad habit didn’t crash down on you from out of the blue with such irresistible force.
We’ve all been there. We wake up in the morning and tell ourselves that we’re going to be strong. Today we’re going to quit. Today will be different. And for a while it is.
Then it happens. You’ve gotten through half the day. You’ve even forgotten about your habit all together. Then, like a ton of bricks, it hits you; the sudden sinking realization that your resistance has failed. Your mind has already decided to indulge your habit.
You feel guilt and shame at your failure of will power but that’s not enough to overcome your compulsion. You rationalize it, telling yourself that one more time won’t hurt. You’ll quit after that.
Pretty quick you’ve told your self “just this one more time” every day for the last year. The whole thing is maddening and ridicules all at once. And the sad fact is, you are bound to continue in this kind of cycle until you re-write the subconscious mental scripts that are driving your destructive behavior.
Once that’s done you can hardly keep your bad habit alive, even if you want to. Once your subconscious mind has been convinced that you no longer have a particular habit you will no longer feel those terrible, nearly irresistible, cravings and urges for your habit. Then it’s just a matter of making good choices. And that’s easy when you aren’t a slave to those horrible feelings you get when you don’t indulge in your vice.
Self-hypnosis can be a powerful tool for helping you overcome almost any destructive habit or behavior. It’s gentle, safe, easy to learn and most anyone can do it. 3. After doing such, you can now ask questions to your subjects. Make sure that you have video camera or normal voice recorder during the entire session.
This can help you in getting all the necessary information needed in theorizing the root causes of your subject’s problems. Also, noting everything s/he said can be an advantage should the recorder or camera went berserk.
Hypnotizing someone is not as easy as it seems. You have to have that willingness and exact concentration to be able to achieve great results.

5.Imagine a relaxing, peaceful place. Begin imagining a staircase with ten stairs, as you climb the stairs you come closer and closer to your peaceful place.
6.Climb the stair slowly on the count of your breathing. When you arrive take a moment to vividly visualize the place in every detail. Become familiar with the smells, sounds and how beautiful the place truly is.
7.Once you are completely relaxed and at peace, you will begin your positive self talk. Repeat to yourself the positive thoughts that you are working on. Be optimistic and positive as you implant your suggestions and use a tone that conveys belief in a good outcome.
8.To end the hypnosis count up to five, open your eyes and take a deep breath. Enjoy the relaxation and positive feeling of refreshment that you feel after hypnosis.

Hypnosis Mind Control – How to Control Other People’s Minds With Hypnosis by
Using hypnosis to control other people’s minds is probably the most difficult technique to master. Here we’ll look at some of the easier methods to get you on your way with hypnotic mind control. It should also be obvious that you need to be ethical when you use hypnosis to begin to control other people’s minds. Karma definitely “goes around” and if you aren’t ethical, you’re likely to suffer the effects of bad karma. OK, that’s the scary bit out of the way…
One of the easiest ways to take control of someone’s mind is by using stories. We do this every time we watch a good movie or get engrossed in a book, so having our minds controlled by stories is something that most people are used to.
You don’t have to be a top story teller to do this. You can just weave parts of the story into your everyday conversation. For instance, if you use an anecdote you’re actually using a fragment of a story.
This was used to good effect in a three day training course I attended a few years ago. Apart from delivering quality content, the main focus of the course was to sell advanced training and there happened to be 6 elements to this advanced training. Several times over the course of the training, the presenter mentioned how he was glad that when he was learning the subject he had spent his money with someone who had taught him all he knew over the course of six different trainings.
This was subtly woven into his presentation and my guess is that most of the audience didn’t realize they were being pitched with a sales message when the presenter used these anecdotes. But judging by the lines that formed when it was announced that the courses were available, a good percentage of the audience’s subconscious had recognized the pitch and decided that the best way to get ahead was to sign up for all six advanced trainings.
You can use this in near enough any sales pitch you make. Whether it’s a formal selling situation, such as a business to business sale, or a less formal one, such as telling your child that they’re not going to be allowed to play their favorite video game until they’ve done their school homework.
Another way to ethically use hypnosis mind control is to establish links between a wanted outcome – such as quitting smoking – and an unwanted side effect. This is how a lot of stop smoking hypnosis works. We all know that the health warnings on the side of cigarette packets don’t work very well (if they did, governments would lose too much tax revenue) but if an unwelcome “trigger” can be associated with smoking a cigarette, that’s a different matter.
So the hypnotist might link the color red with an unpleasant event. In turn this link will be brought up in your subject’s mind every time they reach for their cigarette packet. If the brand is different, just associate a different color.
Another simple way to control someone’s mind is to use what are known as embedded commands. These are very effective because you can link them up with negatives so that the person’s conscious mind doesn’t work out that you’re telling them to do the opposite thing. So when you say “Of course, you wouldn’t want to sign the contract at this moment” you’re actually commanding them to sign the contract.
This kind of embedded command also gets past regulators. Going back to our smoking example, one of the health warnings in the UK is a simple “Don’t start”. Cross out the negative word and it’s a very effective command to “Start”. How’s that for controlling lots of people’s minds?
An advertisement I saw recently said that the face cream they were selling “won’t give you the effect of a face lift”. Which is 100% true. The only trouble is that the underlying hypnosis was saying “give you the effect of a face lift”. Again, a great example of hypnotic mind control.
Of course, this means that you need to be careful what you say.
There’s a very good chance that some of your current wording is unintentionally giving out hypnotic commands and controlling other people’s minds without you even being aware.
If you tell a small child not to drop their drink, the first thing that will go through their mind is the vision of the drink falling to the floor. Hmmm. Maybe you ought to tell them to hold their drink safely next time instead?
We’ve only scratched the surface here of using hypnosis to control other people’s minds. Hypnotherapist has also usually undergone the extensive training at a university, often coupled with some healthcare and medical training.
When you’re choosing a hypnotist or hypnotherapist, the key is being able to ask the right questions such as:
Do you have enough specific training in a field?
What hypnosis school did you attend and what type of license do you hold?
Are you licensed in my state?
How long have you been practicing?
What professional organizations do you belong to?
If you’re a hypnotist, how much training time do you have on you, from what school, and what specific training have you undergone.
