Focus and Concentration and Wealth Is Possible Through Hypnosis by

Is it really possible to create wealth yourself? Hypnosis could be the key for you to remove the barriers preventing you from becoming wealthy and having financial freedom. Most people day dream of winning the lottery or discovering that a long lost relative has left them an inheritance that could change their lives by removing all of their financial stresses. It is understandable that people would fantasize when you consider the following about how Americans spend and save:

Between 2001 and 2003 consumers accumulated $1.1 trillion in new mortgages and consumer debt. The average American household receives at least 50 solicitations for credit each year, making access to credit easier than ever, even for high risk groups. Between 2000 and 2003 the number of non-business bankruptcies increased by 30%. Americans save an average of 1% of their income, while debt is at 100% over disposable income. Hypnosis has been found to turn individuals away from the trends that so many people have just accepted as a part of every day life. However, along with the “buy now pay later” attitude comes the stress of making ends meet when even the smallest financial upset comes into play never mind a job loss or illness.

Hypnosis opens the door to unlimited wealth by helping the participant relax, focus and become more motivated to go after the opportunities that bring about real wealth which is that balance between spending and saving. Hypnosis works by cultivating information and traits already present in the individual so that they can achieve their full potential. It is a method of clearing the clutter from thoughts and actions that can be crippling to ones efforts to better manage their finances or make job related decisions with confidence.

In addition, hypnosis has a unique way of organizing thoughts and clearing out the clutter. Too often, people are diagnosed with Adult Attention Deficient Disorder and are led to try different mediations to get their focus back. If you can’t seem to make a decision or are constantly jumping from one task to another, then hypnosis can work to make your concentration and focus stronger and help you accomplish more without the use of drugs.

There are many situations in which concentration and focus are imperative: driving a car, performing surgery, working on an important project, taking a test. Often we have trouble concentrating on the task at hand because there is so much more going on in our minds: did I turn off the coffee maker, I need to mail the electric bill, the kids need dentist appointments, what will I do if I don’t get that promotion. All these dialogs going on simultaneously in you head make it nearly impossible to get anything done at times.

The process of hypnosis to create better concentration and focus can be divided into two main areas. First, you need to learn how to really relax — to allow all thoughts to be put aside and no conscious thought to take center stage over another. This is one reason why hypnosis is usually done just before drifting off to sleep at night, when you can put aside other distractions. Secondly, once relaxed, hypnosis can rearrange and organize thoughts so that logical action can take place.

One way to understand how hypnosis can increase concentration is to think of your mind like a computer hard drive. If every file you ever created or every piece of information stored on your computer was just placed on the desktop, you would have a hard time focusing on paying your bills if all of your appointments and letters to everyone you have ever written to were mixed in with each of your banking transactions.

Hypnosis in Golf – Part 2 by Roseanna Leaton

NINETY percent of golf is in the mind. If you feel confident when you swing the club, the ball is much more likely to respond as desired. If you choose an EXACT target for your shot, the ball is much more likely to travel in that direction. If you visualize the trajectory of your shot, again the ball is much more likely to fly in a similar way, and so on.

On the flip side, if you don’t choose an exact target, how can your mind direct your body to swing the golf club so the ball travels in the right direction? If you don’t decide in your mind where the ball is going, how can you impart the correct information to the ball at impact with the clubface? If you are thinking “I don’t like this club” how relaxed and confident is your golf swing going to be?

I know what you’re going to say now. “But I don’t feel confident with that club” or some variation of “this is how I am”. And if that’s how you’re thinking, nothing will change. It’s a bit of a chicken and egg situation. You have to feel confident in order to hit the ball well; and you have to hit the ball well in order to feel confident. Or do you?

What causes a lack of confidence? Is it a fear that the ball is not going where you want it to go, or a fear of making a fool of yourself, or a fear that your swing needs to be fixed? We’re not born with fear. Fear is learned…and therefore can be unlearned. The question is “how?”

First, stop thinking that your golf swing needs to be fixed; it’s just fine. Just look at all the professionals on TV and you won’t see two same swings. If you topped the ball on the last shot, you topped it. If you hit it fat, you got under it too much. These are relevant facts which provide feedback to you which enable you to adjust your next swing accordingly. Your entire swing doesn’t need fixing.

Secondly, having emptied your mind of irrelevant “swing needs to be fixed” thoughts, you can use your mind to create a feeling of confidence. Think confident thoughts and you’ll feel confident. Everything in life starts with a thought. Thoughts create your emotions which direct your actions. Just by consciously choosing to direct your thoughts in this way you will reap great rewards. However, if you really want to appreciate the full power of your mind in golf, hypnosis is the way to go.

The use of golf hypnosis allows you to access your subconscious mind, the part that knows just what to do, just how to do it, the part that acts automatically and spontaneously. Your conscious mind thinks whilst your subconscious mind acts automatically. Golf hypnosis will allow you to access your automatic thought patterns and to change them. Many people don’t even know the thought processes which are embedded in their subconscious mind; all they know is how they feel and how they act, without knowing why. And in golf, as with everything in life, awareness precedes choice which precedes change.

With the help of golf hypnosis cds or hypnosis downloads, you can become aware of and empty your conscious and subconscious mind of confidence destroying thoughts. You can also direct your automatic thought patterns in a way that you desire. You can make suggestions to instill yourself with hypnosis confidence; you can learn to visualize clearly the results you want to happen, so that when you go out on the golf course you have an instinctive feeling of confidence and an expectation that the ball is going to end up in the right place. And, seeing as hypnosis is in itself a state of relaxation at one with a state of heightened awareness, you can learn to relax and focus at will whilst on the golf course.

How can a golfer who cares about his or her golf afford to NOT use golf hypnosis? How can you not WANT to be hypnotized? How can the state of hypnosis mean you’re not in control? Take one look at Tiger and ask does he seem in control or not?

Why not spend some time focusing upon your golf mind? You can learn how to change your habitual thoughts with the help of hypnosis downloads. Why do you think the professionals use golf hypnosis? They use golf hypnosis because it works; hypnosis downloads can be used to get you to focus, to stay in the now, to visualize a great swing and to have greater feel. You can use golf hypnosis downloads to help you to play the golf of your dreams.

How to Generate More Leads With a Squeeze Page by Donna Gunter

A squeeze page is a stand-alone page that is typically used as a lead generation or landing page for a special offer or marketing campaign. It offers the visitor access to some piece of information in exchange for the visitor’s name and primary email address. This contact information has been “squeezed” out of the visitor, hence the name of the page. A squeeze page typically consists of an attractive graphic, compelling headline, a short list of benefits that the visitor will receive from your free information, and a form for the visitor to complete to receive the information.

Two key things to remember as you create your squeeze page:

1. Don’t use a squeeze page as the home page of your website. I’ve seen numerous service professionals do this, much to their detriment. A squeeze page provides little content for search engine spiders to index and may block the indexing of the remainder of your site, so you hurt your chances of using SEO to rank high in the search engines.

In addition, requiring contact info to enter your website will turn repeat visitors away. The best-selling feature on my website is the sheer volume of information that I provide. I’ve had some clients tell me that they camp out on my site for a week and absorb what I’ve written before they decide to hire me. Now, if they were forced to enter their contact information every single time they visited my site, I’m sure that they would become annoyed and simply leave and find someone else to help them. And, who wants to be hijacked in order to shop on your website and potentially give you money?

2. Don’t distract your visitor. Your squeeze page should be a single page with no other links to distract visitors from your primary call to action — exchanging their contact information for the free giveaway that you’re providing.

Here’s what you need to get started with your squeeze page:

1. A domain name. The domain name for your squeeze page should mirror or closely resemble the name of your giveaway or a prominent feature of your product. So, for example, if you are a hypnotherapist and you’re making available a podcast on how to use self-hypnosis to lose weight, then you’d want to try and get a domain name like LoseWeightFast.com. Try and get the .com version of your domain name if possible, but if that’s not available, seek out the hyphenated version of the .com domain name.

2. Your give-away. You have two goals for your squeeze page: obtain the contact info from your visitors and get them into your marketing funnel to eventually convert them into paying customers. The best way to obtain contact info from a visitor is to create an information product (ebook, electronic tips booklet, special report, podcast or other audio file, ecourse, video, etc.) that will be valuable because it provides the answer to a major challenge faced by the visitor. Upon realizing that she can get some free information to dim the pain of her problem, the visitor gladly parts with her name and primary email address to obtain the free giveaway.

3. Attractive graphics. To make your product more appealing, you need to create a graphic representation of your giveaway . The graphic image may be in the form of an book cover, spiral bound report, CD/DVD cover, podcast album art, etc. There are a number of graphic artists who create these images, and there are several pieces of software you can purchase to create your own. A good graphic designer can help you with an attractive banner to place at the top of your page, as well.

3. Compelling headline and benefits listing. Your squeeze page will be rather short, but it needs to contain enough information so that the visitor has a clear understanding of how your giveway will help him solve a problem. To accomplish this, create a compelling headline and an attractive listing of benefits that the visitor will experience upon receiving your information. For help with your headline, download the free 3 Minute Headline Creator, http://www.3minuteheadlinecreator.com, which I’ve found to be an amazing tool to help me develop my headlines.

4. Form Creator/Contact Manager. You can simply create a web submission form within your web design software to collect the contact information from you visitors, or you can use a more full-featured service that help you create the form on the squeeze page, collect the information, and offer email broadcasting and followup autoresponders.

5. Thank You Page. This is the page you’ll create with instructions for obtaining the free giveaway. After thanking the visitor for his request and providing the download information, you can also use the real estate on your thank you page to up sell the visitor to one of your products, point him to a resource on your primary website, or engage him by asking him a few questions in a survey.

6. Follow-up autoresponders. The ability to continue to reach out and “touch” your prospective customers is key in developing a relationship with them so that they move from a prospective customer to a purchasing customer. I create a series of 6-10 or so autoresponders that are sent out over the 3 weeks following a download to check in with the visitor, or to introduce the visitor in another item. The shopping cart service I use has autoresponders built in. Other reliable autoresponder services include Aweber.com and GetResponse.com.

A stand-alone squeeze page can serve as a lead generating machine for your business. With a little forethought, you can have your page created in as little as one hour.

Personal Development And The Art Of Success by

Self doubt is one of the biggest success killers that exist. Nine times out of ten those who set goals yet fail to achieve them can find the cause firmly rooted in a lack of self-belief. In order to succeed at anything in life it is imperative that you have a strong sense of Self and unshakable confidence in your abilities. If you want to be successful at anything you must first eliminate self doubt, rid yourself of your personal demons and be committed to the development of your confidence.

Unfortunately it seems to be a natural state on planet Earth to steer towards the negative. I am sure that you find yourself thinking negative thoughts throughout your day. Are you are truly aware of just how damaging these thoughts are to your life? Negativity is a state of mind that is cultivated in our society which, when embraced, gradually strips away your self confidence and erodes your self-esteem.

The only real alternative to negative thinking is positive thinking. Keeping an open mind about subjects tends to leave you in a sort of no-man’s land where it is all too easy to get sucked back into a negative mindset. Now by positive thinking I do not mean magical thinking where you believe everything will just magically work itself out. Neither am I referring to unrealistic thought processes. I do not mean that you hold on to the unrealistic view that regardless of your actions, or lack of action, you will reach your goal. Your choices and actions are an integral part of any goal-achievement program or plan. I am talking about a positive mental attitude!

You must begin to look for the positive in every situation. The old adage “every cloud has a silver lining” should become your motto. Did you know that some of the most successful people on the planet hold the same belief that “everything happens for a reason”?

Please be aware that wherever you are in life, no matter how good or how bad you think it is, you are exactly where you are supposed to be. Let me illustrate this concept a little better for you.

On the morning of 9/11 a terrible tragedy occurred when, many innocent people needlessly lost their lives. However, there were those who escaped the terror that was experienced by far too many others. Did you know that one woman soiled her work clothes with food and had to remain at home longer than usual to get changed? Another woman slept in because her alarm never went off! There was one person who could not get a taxi and another’s car would not start. Now normally these incidents would make you feel annoyed, irritated or even angry however, how many of those people do you think were annoyed, irritated or angry that day?

If you hold a vision of where you want to be in life and take small steps towards it everyday, then you should know that everyday is bringing you closer to your dream. And, if you are getting closer to your dream then you are exactly where you are meant to be at this moment, doing exactly what you are meant to be doing, with the exact right people you should be doing it with.

If your current situation is in anyway distasteful to you, take heart. Keep in mind that this is just a stage, a stepping-stone, from where you are to where you are going to be. Here are some key tips to follow to eliminate self-doubt and achieve your goals.

1. Stay in the present moment at all times and be grateful for what you already have in your life. Practise gratitude and never moan or complain about where you currently are!

2. Decide what you want to be, do or have and make it a goal. Make it an affirmation of fact! In other words, state your intention as though it were already an established reality. Read this statement to yourself every morning and every night.

3. Visualize your ideal scene. Picture yourself already in possession of your goal. Make it real and see it through your own eyes! Create strong emotion with the picture this is vitally important!

4. Look for the positive in every situation, circumstance and person. You focus determines your reality! By directing your attention towards the things that are good you will attract more of the good things into your life.

If you follow the advice outlined in this article you will begin to eliminate all your self-doubt and gradually see the life of your dreams unfold before your very eyes.

Self Hypnosis Confidence

Self Hypnosis Confidence

Self Hypnosis Basics by

Without doubt the most important aspect of any self hypnosis session is the setting of your intention. You must have an intention, preferably a written intention, before you even turn a hypnosis recording on. Your written intention should be a statement that sums up the exact result you want to experience after listening to the hypnosis session several times. For an example we will assume you have the intention of being more confident.

Firstly write down a statement outling your intent and alter it so that it becomes an affirmation or set of affirmations. Make it present tense and very positive in nature. “I am increasing my confidence everyday”, “I am self assured and self confident in every situation” and “I can feel my self-esteem increasing everyday” are a few good examples.

Ensure that you do not include the negative aspect your goal or what you do not want such as “I am no longer lacking in confidence” or “My low self-esteem is getting better”. These statements focus on the situation as it is not how you want it to be. So remember keep the statement positive and only include what you do want! While still in a waking state imagine how you would look and feel if these statements were true. take some time now and create a mental movie of how you think the ‘new’ confident you would walk and hear their self assured talk and see how they interact with people. Imagine what kind of emotions this person would be feeling. Create a mental movie that shows you being confident in situations that would normally leave you feeling a lack of confidence. You will use this mental movie during your self-hypnotic trance session.

Begin by breathing deeply. In through your nose to the count of 5 allowing your lungs to expand and then out gently through your mouth to the count of 5 emptying your lungs. This will relax your body.

Focus your gaze softly on a spot in front of you. Look for somewhere that is slightly above eye-level while you keep your head straight.

Relax each muscle group of your body beginning with your feet and moving up to your head. While doing this allow your eyes to close when they begin to feel heavy.

Now take a deep breath and on the exhale mentally repeat your affirmation. Do this for several cycles until you feel that the affirmation is beginning to feel like the truth.

Continue to breathe deeply and imagine that you are at a movie theatre. Directly in front of you hangs a huge wide projection screen. Up on the massive widescreen begin to project the mental movie you made earlier and let it run several times. Imagine you can actually hear the movie audience cheer and clap as the movie starts to run. Clap and cheer yourself as you watch that ‘other’ you acting how you want to act and exhibiting the type of confident behaviour you want to have.

In order to stay completely relaxed and in control of your self hypnosis session continue to breathe deeply and slowly.

Now imagine that you are floating up towards the screen. The audience is going wild as they know what is about to happen. They are cheering you on! Imagine that you float into the screen and become part of the movie. You stop behind the “other confident you” and find yourself facing the back of his/her head.

At this time take a step and walk into that ‘new’ you just as you would step into a projection or as though you wear trying on some new clothes. The new you is a perfect fit! Watch as the colours around get brighter, the sounds get louder and the scene gets bigger. As you enter the new you, feel how it feels to be that person. See what that person sees. Hear what that person hears.

In the distance on the other side of the screen you can hear the audience going wild with delight as you perform and act as that ‘other’ you would act. Feel how good that feels.

Now repeat your affirmations as you imagine the ‘other’ confident you would say them. Believe the truth behind these statements and feel that they are true. Say them with conviction.

Now once you feel all those great feelings of confidence, self assurance and self esteem just allow the scene to begin to fade. Mentally begin to count down from five to one as you allow your eyes to slowly open. Become fully aware of your surroundings as you bring yourself back to physical reality but bring with you all those good feelings.

NLP: What It Is by

NLP, also known as Neuro-Linguistic Programming, is an approach used to understand how our perceptions are formed and to assist changes in perception through specific therapeutic steps, with the redevelopment of the way in which a person perceives themselves and the world around them. At its core, NLP centers on the belief that language links with the body and mind to form perception. From that core specific steps have been formulated for the purpose of assisting people to change or redevelop how they perceive themself and the world around them.

People elect to undergo NLP treatment for various reasons. NLP can help with socially debilitating phobias; it can help a person overcome issues with self-confidence, helping one to become a better public speaker, even giving you more confidence with the opposite sex; NLP helps with one’s personal growth, allowing you to achieve life goals that previously seemed unobtainable; it allows you to eliminate negative behaviors and thought processes. Essentially NLP helps you to become a more effective human being, who is able to make decisions that will affect their life in a more positive manner.

The NLP approach is a form of hypnosis which uses deep relaxation, regulated breathing, suggestive words, calming nonverbal cues, visual, audio, and other sensory stimuli, and active mental exercises to redevelop the process of perception.

Hypnosis has been in use in conjunction with other therapeutic treatments in treating the psychiatric population for many years. It has also made its way into mainstream society through licensed and unlicensed practitioners, and materials such as books and videos that are available to the public. Many of the books and videos on relaxation, meditation, regulated breathing, and positive thinking are good resource tools and are filled with information you can use to reduce the stress in your life.

Regrettably hypnosis is also featured in comedy routines at comedy clubs across the country. Comedians use the high suggestibility of some people to get them to perform funny things such as barking like a dog just to get a laugh. There is nothing wrong with comedy or humor. In fact there are health benefits associated with laughing and having a good sense of humor, but using hypnosis in comedy routines has only added to the skepticism that people have about what real hypnotism is and what hypnosis is truly intended for. Some people who have experienced hypnosis at comedy clubs report that they felt confused, embarrassed, and angry over discovering that they were the featured act for the night.

Receiving NLP treatment from a certified NLP practitioner is safe and has been shown to be helpful to a good many people in and outside the psychiatric community. Our perceptions control how we receive informational messages from other people and our surroundings. Our responses to those messages are also formed by our perceptions. By redeveloping perceptions so that the messages received are not received with an unnatural darkness to them, allows a clearer view of the world to emerge.

There are indicators that show that the redevelopment of individual perception is a valid medical and therapeutic practicum and process. Research studies have shown a direct correlation between perception and behavior. Perception has also been shown to have an impact on cognitive processes such as concentration, decision making and memory. The way that we perceive ourselves and the world that surrounds us is developed during childhood. Family and social environments and experiences encountered influence perception as it develops. Interactions through language, both the spoken and unspoken forms within our environment and our experiences also influence perception as it is developing.

If an abnormality exists within the messages being received from the surrounding environments and experiences encountered, there is a higher risk for an abnormality to develop with the process of perception. There are many things that can lead to the development of an abnormality in perception. Abuse, neglect, isolation, traumatic events, mixed messages between spoken and unspoken language, disorders affecting speech, vision, hearing, and touch, learning disabilities and chemical imbalances are just a few of them. Abnormalities in perceptions result in abnormal behaviors such as aggression, self-harming and suicidal tendencies, inappropriate responses to stimuli, poor social functioning, an inability to act to protect one’s self from danger, and other undesirable behaviors and responses to the surrounding environment and experiences encountered. Through NLP, even those with physical and emotional disorders can redevelop their process of perception.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming is a technique that is meant to help a person overcome obstacles, learning disabilities, and social and personal inadequacies. With the use of NLP, you can become more productive and reach your goals with just a bit of perseverance and determination. You can learn more about NLP and how this approach may help you with your negative perceptions so that you can see how wonderful your life really is and how obtainable your goals really are.

Hypnosis Self Esteem

Hypnosis Self Esteem

Personal Development Starts With Self Esteem by

Low self esteem can cripple you emotionally and stop you reaching anything even close to your full potential. We all hear about low self esteem issues but do we really understand what it is and how to combat it?

Self esteem begins with a positive self-image. This involves holding a balanced yet loving, approving and healthy self-view. Having said that, this character trait is neither arrogance nor is it nacissistic self-love. Real self esteem allows us to develop a realistic and balanced appreciation for the things we are good at. It nutures our appreciation for our telents and skills. It allows us honest introspection of our strengths and a complete acceptance of our human limitations. High self esteem is a reflection of the true value in which you hold yourself. It also frees you from any overtly polarised view of others and how you perceive they think of you.

Individuals with high self esteem have a strong sense of themselves. They know who they are and what they want. They have a realistic world view of others and themselves. Their self-image is positive but also very rational.

However, do not think that people with high self esteem always feel great and proud of themselves. Self esteem is about having a balanced view of yourself. Even people with high self esteem make mistakes and do things that they later regret. The key difference with these people is that they recover quickly make the changes they need to make, apologize for their behaviour where necessary and learn from the experience. Individuals who have developed a healthy degree of self-esteem are able to use these situations as a form of feedback and learn from them. It is alright to feel bad about their behaviour and make atonement for it but they do not let it effect their entire sense of identity nor do they carry it with them as emotional baggage.

If you are rude or aggressive with a person it doesn’t mean you are a terrible person or should be punished in some way. People with high self esteem are aware of this. These people are capable to taking full responsibility for their behaviour, admitting that it was undesirable. They will then try to make the situation “right” before they learn from it and put it behind them. They do not see themselves as bad people, just a good person that made a bad mistake. However, people with low self esteem tend to pile blame on themselves and think themselves unworthy and unlovable because they are “so bad” and “so unworthy and worthless”. They think because they have behaved badly it is a reflection of the total person they are when, in fact, it is only one portion of the complex personality they have. Poeple with high self-esteem have a well-rounded view of themselves. They mostly know their own weaknesses and faults. However, because they know this they can either accept that this is a part of who they are or they can change the thing about thesmselves that they find undesirable. People with high self esteem can do this relatively easily because they don’t see a change in one aspect of their character as an assault on their whole personality! So they can still have self criticism but also have high self-esteem at the same time.

A key to being in this mental and emotional state is to avoid generalising about mistakes made by ourselves and others, recognising that our weaknesses are part of who we are, while recognising that some of our behaviour can be changed without it affecting our sense of identity!

So start to see yourself as those who love you see you. Ask them what they think. Ask them to be realistic and to point out your good characteristics. Then take stock of yourself and start to believe in yourself. You can develop the skills needed to be critical of yourself, in order to learn and grow, while at the same time realizing that you are a unique, special, loving yet slightly flawed child of the Universe. You are wonderful. Accept that!

Hypnosis Self Confidence

Hypnosis Self Confidence

Everybody Needs Confidence by

Confidence is the most important factor in a successful persons life, a person that has confidence has the power of getting any thing that he/she wishes to have in his/her life. Having self-confidence shows a persons way of approaching his/her goals more easily. Confidence is something that is required by everyone no matter what his/her cast race or profession be. The most important step to success arguably. A person that is self-confident has belief in him/her. No dream looks too big for a person that is full of self-confidence. However there are many people who are unable to achieve their goals just because they lack the all important aspect self-confidence.

The people who are low on confidence often face failure, the cause that they dint have the faith in their ability. This kind of mind set can be developed due to a past failure, wherein a person might fear that he/she will be unable to achieve the goal just as the last time around. The very fact that you had faced a defeat turns you to think negatively, and before giving a shot you start assuming disasters. All this will make you nothing but a person that was unable to achieve zilch in his/her life.

Building confidence is not an easy task, where after repeating the word a thousand times you will be full of confidence. This requires a very dependable help for you, something that has shown the signs of glory in past. Hypnosis is something that you can turn your head towards. Many people have already used this to build self-confidence and found it very supportive. Building confidence is something that is related to a persons mind and there is no reliable help available as far as treating a mind is concerned but there is hypnosis that is the only help you can get.

Hypnosis allows your mind to calm down and put down all the negative thoughts that it had dragged along in past. After this is done your mind is taken to subconscious state, this is the place where your mind is allowed to gather the confidence, lose all the unwanted fear and worries. After this your mind will be able to give you positive thoughts that will result as a confident you. With this new found confidence you can reach your goals quiet easily, which at one time looked to you as a distant dream.

The New York Mentalist and Psych Explore â€Mentalism†by Arvel Clinton

In the last decade TV soaps in New York Mentalist and Psych sizzled in a new flavor to the delicacy of criminal drama. Crime scenes and investigations were cooked in the curry of investigators intuitive ability and were served with his knack for observing minute details which brought in breakthrough leads. Mentalism was the key concept used by these entertainers.

What is Mentalism
Mentalism is an old concept. It is considered to be an art performed by Mentalist or Psychic people. They are said to use supernatural powers for mind reading, hypnosis, and memory related feats. Mentalist isn’t being confused with magicians. They do not perform any kind of standard stage tricks. However, today it is known that Mentalism does not involve supernatural element. But people through practice develop high mental or one can say intuitive abilities. Mentalism now is studied as a branch of psychology. It is a study of how ones mental processes work. That is of how people conceive a situation, think, remember, speak and take a plunge in solving problems.
The concept of mentalism has been beautifully weaved in the top rated TV soaps in New York Mentalist and Psych.

Plot of Mentalist and Psych
The TV soap of New York Mentalist was released in 2008. It centers on Patrick Jane, who is a consultant and helps California Bureau of Investigations in solving homicide cases. He is known for using unconventional methods and taking notice of seemingly minute details.
He starts his career as a con man and claims to use psychic abilities in solving crime cases. This result of a revenge act by a serial killer who murders Patrick’s family. After which Patrick leaves his career as a con man accepts that he was faking psychic abilities, and claims “there’s no such thing as psychics”.
He then joins CBI where he gets the opportunity to further his skills of cold reading, pick pocketing, understanding the human psyche. It is the use of bizarre methods, various ruses and mind games in solving cases and making suspects confess that has drawn huge audiences and made the New York Mentalist a hit.
Psych is much older serial, released in 2006. It is also a comedy drama. It uses the concept of mentalism just like New York Mentalist by portraying the main character has, having psychic abilities because of the terrific instincts used by him in solving crime cases. This show was also one of the highest watched serial and received great reviews.

Why are people fascinated with the concept of Mentalism
Human beings have always been attracted towards sea life, extra terrestrial activity, animals and plants. Also how a human brain works have always been a fascination and Mentalism is an offshoot of the similar interest. Learning about our mental processes is always mind boggling. The shows of New York Mentalist and Psych have gone on to show how mentalism can be used practically. Though they have confined the scope in using the knowledge of rounding up suspects and solving crime cases. Mentalism as a broad concept can be used in understanding people. This can help one in creating strong bonds with people around them. Hence, solving tons of human problems.

Hire A Hypnotist For Convention Fun! by Steve Meade

Imagine a comedy show at your next event so hilarious – your guests talk about it – and are still laughing about it years later…

Imagine the scene… You’re at your company’s holiday party and your CEO gets up after dinner, thanks everyone for attending the party, and then goes on to announce… “And tonight ladies and gentlemen, for your entertainment, we have hired a comedy hypnotist – so get ready to laugh and have a great time!”

Suddenly this guy appears from nowhere and before you know it – 16 of your coworkers are taking off on an imaginary hypnotic flight to Jamaica!

Hypnosis stage shows have been performed all over the U.S. for years and are a great hit at corporate banquets, parties and seminars. Hypnosis shows are hilarious and can also be quite motivational, but there are some things you should look for before you hire a hypnotist for your next event.

1) Make sure the hypnotist you’re considering has testimonials from satisfied clients.

2) Request a demo video or dvd to review their show to make sure it’s funny – and MOST IMPORTANTLY – CLEAN. The last thing you need is a dirty hypnosis show to tick off your guests.

3) Don’t hire an “El Cheapo” hypnotist. A good quality hypnosis show can be purchased for anywhere from a low of around $1000 to $5000. The variation in pricing depends on several factors – the time of year of your event, and the quality of your entertainer. There are plenty of hypnotists just starting out that may be willing to do a hypnosis show for $200-$500 – but I would avoid them, as hypnosis can be tricky, and you don’t want to have a crappy show, just to save a few bucks. Hypnosis is not as cheap as hiring a DJ – but your employees will find it way more entertaining.

4) Find a hypnotist that is flexible and easy to deal with. There are some real egos out there in the world of entertainment, and you definitely don’t want to work with a “prima donna” that sours the night.

5) Make sure the hypnotist is insured. Most quality hypnotists will be insured for several million dollars – just in case. Hypnosis shows are many times safer than having a band and dance or even a DJ at your party.

Not only will your guests laugh their butt off at a great hypnosis show – but more importantly – they’ll thank you again and again for having thought so much of them to have hired a real professional for your party.

Covert Hypnosis Undertaken with the power of persuasion and self confidence by Robert Martin

Covert hypnosis is a concept of hypnotizing someone without even their notice. It could be therapeutically used as well in hypnotherapy where patients know that they are subjected to this hypnosis but in certain other cases, covert hypnosis might have been exercised on you even without your knowledge. That is the beauty of covert hypnosis; it is executed so smoothly that it is completely undetected. When you ask someone to do something in general, the response patterns are varied but when you are well versed with techniques in covert hypnosis, with your self confidence and conversational tactics you could transit the person in a suggestibility state such that they agree to everything you say.

Covert hypnosis has not much to do with body language than it has to do with your choice of words and the tone of speech. Persuading someone to bring about an action they would think that is rather impossible (but still much within their capabilities) needs a much required confidence built in you by the person being subjected to hypnosis. Generally, a lay man might take months or years to gain someone’s confidence but a hypnotist usually needs just a few hours of hypnosis sessions to be able to persuade the subject in question to trust him enough to confide in him and accept his suggestions.

Our brain sends waves that are usually a mode of communication used by the â€super’ organ. These waves are generated in different frequencies; these waves are categorized as gamma waves (approx. 40Hz †high level of mental activity), beta waves (13-30Hz †intense concentration mode involving deep thinking and analysis), alpha waves (8-13Hz †subdued thinking, relaxed and calm state of the mind), theta waves (4-7Hz †extreme relaxed state or even day dreaming), delta waves (0.5 4Hz state of total relaxation i.e. state of sleep). Out of these phases, it’s the theta waves sent by the brain that is much favorable for covert hypnosis to take place and also where the suggestibility mode of the brain is higher. This state of the brain during theta waves being transmitted is known as the trance state.

Usually, a professional, psychotherapist and hypnotist bring a subject in the trance state by first listening keenly into their thoughts and ideas. They may even touch the person to be hypnotized to show that they empathize with them. Gradually, when the hypnotist starts conversing with the individual with the kind of stuff they want to hear, this builds an essential rapport between the hypnotist and the subject. The hypnotist then uses positive suggestibility words in soft spoken sentences and gains the listener’s confidence and slowly leads them into the trance state followed by which they start passing the message of concern to the person being hypnotized in a firm and confident manner such that it impinges on the subject’s subconscious mind and once they are out of the trance, the subconscious mind is duly programmed to carry out the message delivered into productive action for their own benefit.

The International Conversational Hypnosis was formed to spread and teach Dr. Milton Erickson’s ideas of Conversational Hypnosis. The Conversational Hypnosis website reviews the latest hypnosis courses, with a constant flow of new hypnosis articles.

Power Within Self Confidence Through Hypnosis by Mark Goodworthy

Ever wonder why some people do not find it hard to feel confident? If you must know, confidence is basically a state of mind. Before you feel confident, you think about being confident. Surprisingly, you can easily learn about being confident. For starters, you should stop trying to become someone you are not. To be confident, you must be comfortable with who you are and accept your limitations. By doing this, you can act naturally and you will not have to worry about pretending.

Being confident is a lot of hard work. No one is born with it and it takes a serious amount of commitment and dedication to become confident. Being confident can improve your work ad personal life. You will be able to make presentations to large groups of people and speak with important clients. On the other hand, it would require a certain level of confidence to introduce yourself to a stranger or ask someone on a date.

Another important factor in confidence is determining your strengths, skills and talents. If you know these, you can trust yourself to accomplish your tasks properly. Funnily enough, there are people who have all the skills in the world but fail to use them because they are overcome by anxiety or nervousness.

If you are one of these people who have problems with confidence, the first thing you should do is to learn to manage this anxiety. You can try a few self-help techniques such as deep breathings, stretching or meditating. These would slower your heartbeat and help you focus on more important things. Meditation is an effective way to relax your mind as well as your body, ridding yourself of negative thoughts and feelings.

If these are not effective, then you might have a more serious problem that would require professional help. Psychotherapy can help build your confidence by determining and managing the reasons for your anxiety and fear. You could be suffering from low self-esteem because of things that you have experienced before. It is also possible that your anxiety comes from expecting too much from yourself. Whatever the reasons are, psychotherapy can help.

Another fast and effective way to treat anxiety is through hypnotherapy. It usually involves being hypnotized and the hypnotist will alter your behavior by making suggestions to your subconscious. It is believed that the subconscious is more receptive to changes than your conscious mind.

The concept of building self confidence is also related to losing self doubt. With self confidence hypnosis, you’ll be surprised at the fast results.

The Benefits Of Hypnosis To You by Mark Dodd

As defined, Hypnosis” is a state of both physical and mental relaxation, through this the enhancement of the physical and mental senses are achieved, and learning and the input of personally preferred information are facilitated because, in the relaxed state of hypnosis, allows the passage of information into your mind without you really thinking about it – yet remains ready to stop and protect you if there is anything that might harm you.

There is a general concept that hypnosis happens when one person tells the other to do something then the other person really follows obediently. The fact is whatever type be it alone or with a guide, everything falls under self-hypnosis.”

There are two major benefits hypnosis could bring. One is the enhancement of memory and the other one is the enhancement of physical fitness.

What they don’t tell you about Hypnotherapy training – The inside track. by Paul W Howard

I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve heard about this technique and that technique that students have learnt on their hypnotherapy course. However, do these techniques make them good therapists? Of course they don’t.

Most hypnotherapy training classes rely far too much on a myriad of techniques that the students in turn come to rely on. The belief is set up that there is a particular technique to solve a particular problem. Nothing could be further from the truth. In point of fact most techniques when adapted and personalised can be used to resolve most problems.

The trouble with most hypnotherapy training is that the student tries desperately to match the client’s issue to the techniques they have learnt. This is a totally ineffectual way of training hypnotherapy students, and leads to ineffectual hypnotherapists. Hypnotherapy students need educating in how to THINK like a therapist, not training in how to ACT like a therapist.

To be an effective hypnotherapist you need to understand what a client’s subconscious is trying to achieve with the problem behaviour. Until this puzzle is solved the hypnotherapist will have little or no chance of resolving the problem, no matter what technique they use. Therefore a deep understanding of the motivations and perceptions of the subconscious as they relate to the client is not only important but also critical to the education of the therapist. Any hypnotherapy course that does not take account of these needs is training the student to fail.

The training environment is another area where many hypnotherapy training schools fall down. Quite often the training is conducted in a single room where all the practical work is done as well. This is obviously not conducive to a genuine therapeutic environment, or for the concentration of either party involved. I have heard of training schools who conduct their lectures in hotel rooms and the practise sessions are sometimes held in the bar or public areas; always ask the question before embarking on a hypnotherapy course, and if it is being held in a hotel be cautious.

I have been particularly astonished to learn that some so-called hypnotherapy training is conducted in mega auditoriums, with several hundred students being asked to practice their therapeutic skills in the middle of the auditorium with so called â€assistants’ offering impromptu advice to maybe 20 or 30 people; the noise was described as being akin to a hall full of turkeys gobbling in nervous anticipation just before Christmas. On the upside I have heard it is a good place to meet future clients, as most people arrive calm and go home nervous wrecks. It brings a new meaning to the concept of â€touch’ therapy. Obviously having proper breakout rooms where the students can work one to one is far more professional, and allows the students to get the maximum out of the practicals.

Another important area is preparing the future hypnotherapist to deal with â€real’ clients. With most hypnotherapy training schools the first â€real’ client the student will encounter is after they are handed their diploma and told, â€Congratulations, you have passedâ€. The first client a hypnotherapist sees is a very nerve wracking time. The client will not have been screened to ensure their suitability etc; so when you take a nervous hypnotherapist, an unknown client in an unsupervised environment, it is a recipe for disaster. I have known many a promising career halted at the start because of a very negative experience.

When we train hypnotherapists we intersperse their training with â€real’ clients that are screened by us to ensure suitability. We are always on hand to supervise in case there are any issues beyond the capabilities or experience of the student. This ensures that the student has the best chance of having a positive experience in their first few sessions, and helps them to build their confidence as an effective hypnotherapist. The sessions are conducted in proper therapy rooms to ensure the clients and the students get the most from the experience.

Another area of concern is, are the trainers practising hypnotherapists themselves? I know of a number of courses being run by trainers with very few client hours under their belt, or others whose sole income is from training new hypnotherapists. The old adage, â€those who can, do, those who can’t, teachâ€, seems to apply here. There is a simple way to check, just ring up and ask for a therapy appointment. If they â€no longer see clientsâ€, or they can get you in immediately, that’s a fair indication that they either only train or that they see very few clients. The problem here is that if they are not seeing many clients they are unlikely to be up to date with their skills, or worse still they may not be attracting repeat clients, which probably means they are not very effective as therapists themselves. They might be able to talk the talk, but can they walk the walk?
