PMS – Grin And Bear It Or Zap It With Hypnosis! by Roseanna Leaton

Whether you call it PMS or PMT doesn’t matter one iota; It’s the bane of many women’s lives, lying in wait once a month to turn one’s mood and body upside down and inside out, like a volcano smoldering away, ready to erupt at any moment. And let’s not forget this volcano’s impact upon friends and family, who wait in fear of the inevitable approach of molten lava, tiptoeing around you as if treading on egg-shells! Self hypnosis recordings can be amazingly effective in assisting with PMS.

Perhaps this description is overly dramatic for the majority of us women. But Im sure there is a certain percentage that readily connect with this analogy, whilst others breeze through “that time” each month with carefree unconcern. Some suffer from PMS whilst others don’t, and hormones and genes would appear to be the culprit. The symptoms we are told add up to 150 in all, and so I’m not even going to attempt to list them here. Suffice it to say, you know your own symptoms, be it depression, irritability, anxiety, insomnia, bloating, etc; you don’t need me to describe them to you! For some it’s severe, for other these symptoms are mild, whilst a lucky few are barely affected at all.

You’ve no doubt tried numerous herbs and vitamins, pills and potions. Some help a bit, some a lot and some not at all. A lesser known about or lesser acknowledged means of assistance is that of tapping into the power of your own mind. Perhaps it is assumed that because the symptoms are very physical or very tangibly experienced then the cure would have to be in a physical form aswell. Or maybe it is felt that something genetic and hormonal is just the way it is and cannot be changed. I’m aware too that many people have a natural resistance to the concept of hypnosis; but this is through a lack of understanding about this natural art.

You aren’t afraid to go to sleep or to dream are you? Or afraid to meditate or practice yoga? Hypnosis is the natural state which occurs between wake and sleep, when your brain waves alter from the beta pattern of normal wakefulness to the alpha-theta of deep relaxation and REM sleep.

Many people resist hypnosis on other grounds too – perhaps because it would take too much time and effort, or because it’s too expensive or because they do not think that they are susceptible. Everyone is susceptible to hypnosis, to one degree or another. And as you practice hypnosis you will relax more easily and access deeper and deeper states. It is no different from anything else in that “practice makes perfect”. What is different is that it is completely natural. When you take a closer look into the time and cost issues, these fears will also be allayed. You can purchase a self-hypnotic cd for very little money and play this each night as you go to sleep, so you don’t even have to take time out to do it.

Whilst addressing the subject of overcoming resistance, its important here to add that medical research has shown that the method of hypnotic delivery, either in person or via recording, does not have a significant effect on the successfulness of the treatment.

In what way then can hypnosis help with PMS? Of course hormones and genes play a starring role in its causality, but your mind can have an equally strong impact upon its alleviation. Research has shown that women can learn to effectively reduce and alleviate their symptoms by using relaxation techniques and hypnotic suggestion. This makes sense; your mind and body are intrinsically linked, and so as you learn to approach your symptoms in light of this fact you will take control, relieve your symptoms and feel a whole lot better than before.

When you relax deeply, as you do in hypnosis, endorphins are released throughout your body. These are natural opiates, natural pain killers, which produce a fantastic feel good factor, a feeling of comfort. There is a link between low endorphin levels and PMS symptoms. It follows (and research has shown this) that to learn to relax deeply and produce endorphins at a greater rate you will naturally relieve the symptoms of PMS.

Thus you can choose to grin and bear your symptoms of PMS or you can put your mind to work with hypnosis to maintain a better state of equilibrium during your monthly cycle.

Panic Attack Advice: Techniques to Control Acute Fear and Panic Attacks by Jon Mercer

Panic attacks are part of the bodies “fight or flight” response. But while it is normal and absolutely harmless to experience “fight or flight” sensations from time to time, for some people this sensation can turn into a recurring attacks that caused extreme feelings of fear and impending doom.

One trademark characteristic of all panic attacks is that the intense feelings of fear seem like they will last forever. Anyone can be startled or scared at times, even in tensely so; but panic attack sufferers develop periodic episodes of severe fear and both emotional and physical discomfort that can seem in the moment to be a permanent situation, not something that is casual and fleeting.

There are different types of panic attack advice that can be helpful to different sufferers. We’ll take a look at two of the most common tips for controlling panic attacks and severe anxiety.

Panic Attack Advice: Technique 1
One simple but effective way to control panic attacks is to break the cycle of panic as it is building within you. Relaxation techniques are effective way to do this for many people. One of the most common relaxation techniques is the “muscle tension” method. This requires the sufferer to sit or lie comfortably and alternately tense and relax the muscles and their body, usually beginning from the toes, and working progressively up the body to the forehead and scalp.

By tensing and then relaxing each group of muscles, the body is “tricked” into adopting a slower pace, and the heart rate is often lowered considerably by following this technique, as breathing becomes more calm and steady.

The muscle tension method has become common panic attack advice over the last couple of decades, and has proven to be a significant help to many anxiety and panic attack sufferers. It takes just a few minutes to perform, and the effects can be quite dramatic. Highly recommended.

Panic Attack Advice: Technique 2
Guided visualization is a fairly recent technique for controlling panic attacks and phobias. This technique is often performed with the help of either audio or video aides, such as CDs, DVDs or MP3s.

The sufferer is led through a process of visualizing a peaceful and serene environment in which they are perfectly safe and at ease. Through the use of colorful visual imagery, and sometimes NLP techniques to induce a state of relaxation similar to hypnosis, the sufferer can find themselves immersed in a much more pleasant and relaxed state of mind, which in turn, causes panic attacks and anxiety to dissipate.

While guided visualization is slightly more complicated (because it requires an external “guide” in the form of a CD or DVD), it is sometimes considered the most powerful relaxation technique to overcome feelings of panic.

Psychologist, therapist and holistic healers have all used some variation of the guided visualization technique to assist patients experiencing panic attacks or phobias. Overall, the effects of this technique have proven to be very useful, and there is some evidence that the technique improves in efficacy as the patient gets better at using their imagination to “create” a different state of mind.

Both of these techniques represent excellent panic attack advice. They require little in the way of external support, and do not rely on medications in order to bring the panic attacks under control.

What Is Hypnotherapy And How Does It Work? by Terry Doherty

Although the word sleep” is often used in correlation with hypnosis and hypnotherapy, hypnosis is not a state of deep sleep. It does, however, induce a trance-like condition that actually increases the subject’s state of awareness in their own subconscious. Because the subconscious is under the mental surface and we are mostly unaware of it in our normal conscious state, the hypnotic state is necessary to gain access to it.

A hypnotherapist, after the subject is in their hypnotic state, is able to suggest ideas to them as a form of therapy. These ideas are implanted deep into the psyche and can help with any number of issues. For example, while under hypnosis, a therapist may be able to suggest to you that cigarettes taste and smell awful, they make you sick and you want nothing to do with them. This is only a suggestion and may not work 100% the first time. Instead, the next time the subject picks up a cigarette, they may smoke it but will gain less enjoyment from it, hopefully leading them to eventually quit.

Hypnosis is the act of hypnotizing a subject. The practice of healing or positive growth through hypnosis is known as hypnotherapy. This is the method most subjects seek out to help them stop smoking, lost weight, reduce anxiety, and so on. Hypnotherapy focuses on ‘reprogramming’ certain behavior patterns within the mind. This can enable you to conquer your fears, bad habits and negative thoughts toward yourself.

Hypnotherapy can treat physical symptoms as well as mental ones. As the subject is placed under hypnosis, they are much more relaxed. This is more than a mental state, as the blood pressure and breathing will slow, releasing pressure on the heart and other organs. This is effective for pain management and often to promote physical healing after an injury or major surgery. Hypnotherapy is practiced on the principle that the mind and the body are one connected thing and that one can control the other.

Hypnosis is effective as a treatment process chiefly because it allows the subject to shut down the thinking” part of the brain. In other words, under hypnosis you do not think about the stresses of your everyday life or the logistics. The non-analytical side of the brain (our right hemisphere) is empowered and allowed to be affected and cause changes in the person. This may seem a little far-fetched for some, but millions of people around the world swear by these methods.

Hypnotherapy can treat any number of disorders from bad habits such as smoking and overeating, to suppressed memories that inhibit you from carrying on successful relationships. It has been endorsed by medical professionals as an effective pain management technique and is often chosen over epidural’s during childbirth. However, none of these conditions can be treated effectively if the subject does not believe that they will. Because hypnosis is a science of the mind, it cannot be entered into involuntarily and must have your full cooperation in order to be effective.

Terry Doherty works all over the UK working extensively with individual and business clients helping clients to stop smoking, manage weight, manage stress, become more confident and helping change many other behavioural issues. Terry uses the latest techniques of hypnosis, NLP and life coaching skills for profound change. He can be reached at http://www.mind-works.co.uk

Fast Phobia Cure by NLP Training

In a Recent NLP Training Course, one simple technique stopped a woman’s phobia of dogs in its paw-printed tracks!

BY KEVIN COLE

As a Life Coach and NLP Master Practitioner/Trainer, I believe clients can and should avoid pain, and enjoy pleasure in the healing process. With the techniques of NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), I am able to assist them in doing just that. Nicole, a student who entered my San Diego NLP training course in July, 2010, is just one of many examples of a life that was dramatically changed through a simple visualization technique. In just 5 minutes, she was able to get over a 37-year-old phobia of dogs.

The technique I used was simple and fast, hence, the name â€The Fast Phobia Cure.†It doesn’t always take five minutes and depending on the situation, it can take up to a few sessions, but it’s usually very fast and one session usually gets the job done. There are also other factors, the most important being the mindset of the client.

Nicole admitted she had been skeptical at first. â€Kevin and I had discussed my phobia of dogs before I came in to the course, and he told me that in general, â€the more intense the phobia, the easier it is to get rid of.’ He was right!â€

After going through this simple visualization technique, another student brought in his dog, Tika. According to Nicole, Tika was mellow. Over the weekend, however, she went to the home of another student with a dog much more like the kind she was most afraid of. â€If anyone in that class had ever seen me before the fast phobia cure, they really would have noticed a difference. I had been afraid of dogs for most of my life, and it is still so amazing to me that I don’t jump out of my skin when a dog enters a room.â€

Nicole still doesn’t plan on getting a pet in the near future, but now enjoys social situations where dogs are present in a much more relaxed manner.

This is just one example of how NLP techniques can change lives, even those of people who are often assumed to be â€non-visual learnersâ€. Did I mention Nicole happens to be blind and has been since birth?

Naturally, several friends and family members have since asked her if she’ll get a guide dog. â€I don’t rule anything out, but I don’t think so,†she says. Guide dogs take up so much more time than a pet does, and I’m not one to wake up at 5:30 in the morning to walk a dog. It’s kinda like raising a kid, and I’m already raising one.â€

The Fast Phobia Cure is just one of many potentially life-changing techniques you can learn in an NLP Practitioner and Master Practitioner training course. Even if you don’t aspire to be a hypno-therapist or life coach, these courses are an excellent way to invest in your own personal development. Panic Attacks and Menopause †How are the Two Related? by Bertil B Hjert

Most disorders are clinically dependent on each other. Hence, there is a possibility of a relationship between panic attacks and menopause. In fact, according to a research, panic attacks and menopause are closely related to each other.

Many people with attacks have a tendency to develop a certain type of chemical imbalance due to the effect of the attacks on their overall bodies.

When a woman undergoes menopause, there is a kind of hormonal imbalance that occurs in the human body. It tends to create a suitable environment where the woman is vulnerable to a number of disorders related to anxiety.

However, every woman with menopause does not face panic attacks. Hence, it should not be made a standard effect.

In order to rule out panic attacks during menopause, it is not necessary to take any medications.

1) Here are certain symptoms shown by women who experience attacks during menopause:

a)Rapid breath and shallowly

b)Breathe with the muscles of the chest, shoulders and neck

c)Do not use diaphragm for breathing

If you notice any of the above mentioned symptoms, it would be best to seek help of a health care practitioner.

Fear Of Flying? Just Relax It Away by

The advancements in science and industry in that last 100 years have left us humans somewhat baffled. You will often hear it said that in the last century, we as human beings have made more accomplishments than at any other time in recorded history. But did it all get a little big, a little to fast?

It seems that these days’ people tend to be more afraid of different things and as humans; we seem a lot more ‘phobic’ than our recent ancestors. I don’t for one minute think that we have evolved into complete phobic beings, but more like the world, science and industry have all evolved and left us behind, thus creating loads of new unnatural scenarios to intimidate us.

I believe that one of these ‘unnatural scenarios’ is flying. For instance it was only a couple of life times ago (if that) that the Write Brothers created their flying machine. And It wasn’t until the middle of the last century (not even a lifetime ago) that we began to fly commercially and start taking our holidays abroad, however just because it may be unnatural, it doesn’t mean that we have to keep any fears of flying that we may have.

Hypnosis, EFT and NLP can all be used with extreme effectiveness to eliminate your fear of flying, however I use all three as to make sure it goes away and stays away! This way you aren’t always sitting there just waiting for it to come back, but actually enjoying the experience that once terrified you.

Whether it affects you in your business life or just the family holiday, a fear of flying can cause no end of upset and unhappiness, however there is now an effective and in most cases a quick solution.

For years Hypnotherapy has been used by so many people worldwide to allow them to swiftly get rid of their fear of flying and allow them to feel comfortable and in fact rather enjoy the whole experience.

If you are tired and always regretting not doing the things that you have always wanted to do because of a fear of flying, then why not see how Hypnotherapy and Self Hypnosis can help you further.

The process is so simple and natural that you will be amazed just how quickly you will see the benefits! Just imagine yourself laying on that beach now. A thousand mils away and not a care in the world! How fantastic would that be?

Understanding Hypnosis And Hypnotic Trance by Abbas Abedi

You go in and out of hypnosis all day long. Everybody does.

Maybe you have had the experience of driving and suddenly you are at your destination and you don’t even remember making all the turns to get there. You had gone into a state of hypnosis or ‘trance’. Or maybe you use public transport and have experience arriving at your destination rather quickly. In the above two examples a ‘trance’ state is experienced as time flowing very quickly. Another great example of a hypnotic trance state is how fast time seems to go when you are hanging out with friends and having a good time.

You can also experience a trance state where time moves awfully slowly. Like standing in a line when each minute seems like an hour. In other words your current state of mind is your ‘trance’. You can’t keep everything you know on your mind all the time. You automatically will focus on a few thoughts or one thought or none. Whatever thoughts you focus on represent the structure of your current hypnosis ‘trance’.

Going in and out of ‘hypnosis’ all day long is a normal part of everyday reality.

I particularly like how Stephen Wolinsky describes hypnosis trance states in his book ‘Trances People Live: Healing approaches in Quantum Psychology’, Trances are often a necessary means of surviving and negotiating the physical universe. They are like tunnels walked through in order to maneuver and focus in the world. Some trances are functional and pleasing. Others are dysfunctional and pathological. Some trances will be in alignment with ones goal, while others will be impediments.”

In other words, hypnotic trance is normal although it can be good for you or bad for you depending on your focus.

For example; an anxiety attack is a ‘bad’ trance. The focus of attention becomes very narrow and centered on negative thoughts and images. An example of a ‘good’ trance is watching a comedy video. You are in a happy, laughing trance. All movies and other activities put you in different types of trances.

Stephen Wolinsky describes problems as states where a person’s attention has shrunk, excluding positive perceptions and focusing on negative ones. In therapeutic trance (commonly called hypnosis) this attention is shrunk even further into an ‘unbroken flow of concentration’ (similar to dhayana meditation in Yoga). The therapist can then guide their clients into better perceptual models to view their problems and overcome them.

Hypnosis, Delving Into The Subconscious. by Tremper Phorgman

You have surely heard of hypnosis, and you have probably either seen a demonstration on television or have personally witnessed it. Frankly it probably scares you and it should. There is a lot of damage to be done when you give a person the authority to suggest things for you to either do or believe while you are very vulnerable and suggestive. Thankfully things are being regulated better now and the great news is that the power of this exercise is incredible.

Hypnosis can be used to treat thought disorders, addictions in the medical world. Hypnosis can also be used to motivate, give confidence to, and success train those in or aspiring to be in some sort of business. Because both the business and medical worlds have seen the benefits of this powerful technique there has been pressure on the governing bodies in this country that have made it more safe for the patient or client.

Doctors are now more comfortable writing a script for hypnosis therapy as they have seen the data that shows significant improvement for patients that suffer from harmful patterns of thought including those with anxiety and depression to even more severe mental illness like bipolar and schizophrenia. Insurance companies are now starting to pay for this treatment because of the data that they have especially for things like addiction and smoking in particular. You talk about one of these hardest things to accomplish like smoking cessation and you can start to understand why now that it is being treated successfully with hypnosis.

This tells you something about the way our brain operates. Basically a lot of things are happening in the background that we are not aware of, in our sub-conscious. This makes sense too when you can think of a good example where it is obvious. I personally think of sports and athletic performance (which also can and is being improved through hypnosis) as my example. Sports are so fast that there is not enough time to think about each little important step. If you did you would either be real slow or real sloppy. So there is a part of you that is obviously taking in the information and moving your body accordingly in order to do what your brain is telling you–this is the subconscious.

When not using hypnosis to better people’s lives, you will find Tremper Phorgman working outside on his gentleman’s farm in the Pennsylvania foothills. If you want to learn more about hypnosis and its applications go to www.beginhypnosis.info

Ways To Communicate Effectively: Communication Tips To Make People Like And Trust You by Mike Lee

Effective communication skills are an asset to any person, regardless of your age or status. By learning ways to communicate effectively, you will be able to build trust and respect, and make people like you. That kind of skill is highly sought after in most industries.

There are different ways to communicate effectively. Some of them may be verbal or non-verbal. Below are some tips that will help enhance your communication skills.

How To Show Interest

Don’t be such a passive listener if you want other people to warm up to you. However, it’s not like you can tell the person talking that you’re very interested in what they are saying in the middle of the talk. No. There are non-verbal cues you can use to indicate your interest.

One of them would be maintaining eye contact. By keeping your eyes on the person talking, you are telling them that they have your complete attention. Another way to communicate effectively is by nodding your head at some of the points you agree with. I also recommend leaning a bit forward to show that you’re interested in the topic of conversation.

These non-verbal cues are quite handy especially when you’re in a board meeting and your boss is the one speaking. Believe me, when your superiors are the ones talking, you’d better look interested.

How To Deliver A Speech

Those who regularly join speech contests know that there are certain moves that will get them plus points from the judges. Thus, they are good sources for learning ways to communicate effectively.

While you might not be required to address a large audience, you will need good communication skills when presenting reports or when talking to your boss about a potential raise. So how do you harness the skills of an orator?

One of the lessons you must learn is how to use the right words and what mood you should be encouraging. If you’re talking to serious men in your industry, then stay serious and use the appropriate terms your colleagues will understand. It is also important to keep your voice controlled. Don’t be too emotional because people won’t take you seriously.

Avoid stuttering as well, since it will only lessen your credibility. I strongly suggest practicing at home just to get yourself used to talking in front of an audience.

How To Use Hand Gestures

Hand gestures are also very useful ways to communicate effectively. Your gestures help keep their attention focused on you. They help you emphasize a point without having to resort to your visuals.

However, don’t be too animated because then your whole presentation might just become a joke. Your audience might find themselves too focused on your gestures than on what you’re really trying to say.

If you intend to incorporate hand gestures into your speech, go through the whole thing in the privacy of your own home or office. People who are not used to using hand gestures often feel awkward and it’s better to get your body used to the feeling before the actual moment.

These are just some of the ways to communicate effectively. You will find that these skills will come in handy almost everyday of your life. Use them well.

OCD Can Be Scary by

Researchers say that about 2% of Americans are affected with obsessive-compulsive disorder. OCD is an abnormal state of mind where a person fears a disaster, where he/she starts assuming things and ideas not working their way. This is negative response from your mind, which could be due to your anxiety where you started assuming negatively, a state of mind that responds against your thoughts. So if you happen to be affected then you will experience many situations in which you will be looking for a negative response because despite a situation being positive your mind will prod you to only notice extreme negatives effects, which could even be highly outrageous and ridiculous thoughts. All this is the cause of your mental illness. Mental disorders are the signs of your brain getting mental stress, where it all starts from worries, depression, and anger. All this affects your brain and this causes anxiety. Many people look upon obsessive-compulsive disorder as an abnormal state of mind and some, they look at it as a psychological disorder. But surely a person affected with this requires cure. This is available in different forms, however it is upon the person to decide as to which one will be effective for his cause.

In case of genetic influence from the parents very little stress is more than enough to add to your mental sickness. Whereas, a person that has created OCD himself has done so probably after dealing with many torturing stress levels where he invited the situation. In the case of obsessive-compulsive disorder a person has fear and in order to avoid it he or she will keep on taking a good look at whatever or whom so ever they are concerned with, they have a bothering attitude. E.g. a person with obsessive-compulsive disorder will keep on checking the lock even after closing it properly, even at times when they are out they actually keep thinking about the lock that might be kept open. In this case the person was repeatedly forced to think about the lock even though it was closed. The cause of this is the mind that is disturbed and fearful.

However OCD can be controlled as it is related with a person’s mind that is stressed and if treated can get well. Hypnosis is said to be an effective cure for any phobias or addictions that are mind related and same is the case with OCD. Hypnosis has a very great track record when it comes to curing any kind of mental illness. Hypnosis treatment dealing with a person’s mind enables it to calm down. The age-old art consists of soft music that will help you relax your brain. This treatment is conducted in a very quiet place allowing your mind to concentrate. So if you are looking for a hypnosis treatment it will be easily available for you in the form of an mp3. You can get this straight from the net where you need to download it. Hypnosis to overcome your mental illness is a reliable medium and in time you will be able to contain and abandon negative situations that are purely a figment of your imagination.

Hypnosis Fear Of Flying

Hypnosis Fear Of Flying

Try Hypnosis For Fear Of Flying by

Fear of flying is related to a fear related of being on an air plane. In medical terms it is referred as aero phobia, avoiphobia or aviatophobia. Fear of flying is a phobia itself, or it can be a condition related to other phobias. Orson Welles quoted that there can only two feelings for a person boarding a flight one is boredom and other is terror. Well the people who are not fearful of flying will agree that flying may be a boredom process. Others may find flying a terrifying experience. Statistics say that travelling by air is around 29 percent safe than using auto mobiles. Despite such a huge ratio people are still scared to fly. They think that they might meet with an accident or the plane might get hijacked.

We might think that fear of flying is a normal problem no doubt there are chances where an accident might happen. Another reason why people fear flying is that the plane is not in their control, we are flying in the air and one mistake by the pilot causes us to give up our life. People who have a fear of flying every time think of what is going to happen next rather than actually seeing the real issue. Pilots are trained professionals who have the capacity to control emergency situations as best as humanly possible. Strange noises during a flight, plane shaking a bit, plane kept on hold for landing are the problems which occur almost each day. The causes of fear of flying could also be related to the fear of height. In some cases it is observed that a person has only a problem flying in nights or flying over the oceans. Symptoms observed for a person who has fear of flying are distress or distraction every other minute. The most common symptom is a person may have panic attacks or vomiting as soon as the flight takes off.

Just imagine you are supposed to go to visit your loved in an emergency situation, which is the fastest mode of transport available? You cannot have any other alternative but to fly. Suppose if your boss tells you that you have to go a certain state for a presentation, if the presentation is good enough you will be getting a promotion. Self Hypnosis – Are You Already Hypnotised? by Academy of Hypnotic Arts Ltd

There is a great deal of information, products, audio recordings, self hypnosis tapes, mp3’s, downloads even courses and workshops, but is there really such a thing as self hypnosis and can it be achieved?

In my understanding, there is no such thing as Self Hypnosis only Self Suggestion†you don’t have to get yourself in a trance †chant †or even learn to stick needles through your arm because self suggestion is something you do to yourself every day.

Self Suggestion is something we can do now today, in fact it is so important in our lives it is vital. We give ourselves suggestions constantly and everyone is extremely good at it.

The fact is that everyone is mostly hypnotised or reacting to the results of hypnosis most of the time. That is we are all reacting to suggestions that have been implanted in our subconscious mind by someone or something else at a time when our subconscious mind was most suggestible. And that is all hypnosis is.

Hypnosis happens to us all the time. Maybe not the swinging watch stuck to the floor type hypnosis. Maybe not the goatee bearded leather couch type of hypnosis. It happens without a swinging watch but it’s hypnosis just the same.

Hypnosis happens naturally when we are in a state where logic goes flying through the
window. Those times when afterwards you find yourself thinking â€Why did I say that?†and, â€What the hell was I thinking of?â€

So if self hypnosis is self suggestion then what can you do to override the hypnotic influences that keep you where you are? The answer lies firmly in your court †start to talk nicely to yourself. As mile Cou suggested in the early 1900s â€Everyday in every way I’m getting better and betterâ€. Repeated affirmations such as this work for your subconscious mind just as sure as your repeated negative phrases to yourself over and over again such as â€I don’t know why I bother. I’m crap at this!†and â€I have a terrible memory†and â€It doesn’t matter how hard I try, nothing seems to work,†will keep your subconscious mind believing just that.

Does any of this sound familiar?

So repeat really positive things in the same way you tell yourself really negative things. So
â€I have a really good memoryâ€
â€I’m really good at thisâ€
â€Everything always goes right for meâ€

Repeat them to yourself over and over until they no longer make any logical sense to your conscious mind and do this several times a day. Research has shown that it takes approx 30 days for the brain to respond and take on board new suggestions.
Try it †you have nothing at all to lose and quite a lot to gain.

Meditation will work for some, Hypnosis works for some, Relaxation works for some, Self Suggestion works for the vast majority, it is really up to you how much effort you want to put in.

If after reading this you still want self hypnosis tapes or mp3s go for the really short ones with affirmations that will stick, so that you can achieve true wide awake hypnosis with as little effort as possible. Always remember if you can change your mind, you can change your life, and if you can change your life you can live happily ever after.

Hypnosis Social Anxiety

Hypnosis Social Anxiety

Self-Hypnosis for Self-Confidence-Taking Control of Your Own Recovery From Social Phobia by Alan B. Densky, CH

Many people feel uncomfortable or experience a minor sense of anxiousness when thrust into a new situation or a large group of people they don’t know. However, for about 10 percent of people, anxiety about social situations is severe enough to be disabling. Researchers now believe that an even larger number of people might have to deal with more mild forms of social anxieties that can cause significant issues in daily social interactions.

The term for this type of anxiety is social phobia. It most often takes place when a person has fears and worries that often are due to being involved in a social event. One who has a social phobia may also have trouble with making themselves stop thinking too much about how others are judging or evaluating them.

For people who have social phobia, anxious feelings can occur in many different kinds of situations, including going shopping, attending parties, speaking in public, standing in front of a group of people, or being given an interviewed. These kinds of social anxieties can also be manifested in the body; for many people with social anxieties, sweating, flushing, trembling hands, or intestinal issues can occur when facing these kinds of high stress situations.

Experts now argue that social phobia involves issues with self-confidence. Self confidence is the ability to feel that we have the capacity to make good decisions, be independent, and take control over our lives. Those who struggle with self-confidence — an extremely common issue in today’s stressful world — may think too much about how they are perceived by others, to the point of not wanting to take part in social activities or of beginning to feel “out of control”.

Fortunately, though, there are some basic actions a person who suffer from self-confidence issues can take in order to take back this control. One course of action someone who suffers from self-confidence issues can take is to get an anxiety and phobia workbook. You can think of the anxiety and phobia workbook as a simple way to get insight into the issues you are dealing with by maintaining a journal of triggers and symptoms; it also contains exercises to do that will help you acquire more introspection about your self-confidence issues.

When you have gotten to the point at which you have begun to have insight about your issues with self-confidence, and have made the decision that it is now time to start building self-confidence, then it might be a good idea to think about a kind of treatment that has been proven to be very successful in social phobia. Like the anxiety and phobia workbook, this special type of therapy is characterized by being centered on aiding you to become pro-active and gain power over your life. In essence, you will be healing yourself.

This kind of treatment, called hypnosis, functions by using the hidden power of your subconscious mind to help you become confident, self-assured, calm, and comfortable with yourself. Believe it or not, we are all born with these capabilities, but because of traumatic life events, learned helplessness, and problematic social interactions, we often lose sight of our native abilities to seize these powers. Hypnosis therapy is clinically shown to work for people with self-confidence and anxiety issues.

Many people who have self-confidence and other anxiety-related issues often seek out a ‘quick fix’ solution, such as pills, natural remedies, and short-term therapy. Although these are things that can be helpful for some individuals, they don’t truly attack the cause of our self-confidence issues – our subconscious mind. In order to deal with self-confidence issues, you must be in charge of your own recovery.

If you make the decision to check out hypnosis therapy to help you gain self-confidence, you will receive a course of treatments with a hypnotherapist who will encourage you to enter a deep state of relaxation. When you are in this place of calmness, your subconscious mind is wide open and ready to be reached by hypnotic suggestion. Your hypnotherapist will then work with you in this open mental state by using repeated suggestion to help you to realize that you are an able, strong, and independent person.

Other possibilities for people who are troubled with problems with self-confidence are to receive hypnosis therapy through video or audio recordings, which can be watched or listened to in the comfortable space of your own home. Many people also find that learning self-hypnosis, a specific relaxation method in which you are encouraged to become open to your innermost wants and needs, with only minimal assistance, is very helpful. Whichever type of anxiety hypnosis you decide upon, you will be assured that you are taking an important step in enacting your own healing and recovery.

Alan B. Densky, CH has invented many hypnotherapeutic techniques for the healing of social phobia. His authority site offers a thorough self hypnosis article library dedicated to every aspect of NLP and hypnosis. Visit for Free self-hypnosis videos, downloads, and newsletters.

Natural Arthritis Treatments as Complementary Medicine by John Hilaire

Because arthritis can be such a painful condition to grapple with, and since many traditional medications have not been proven to be completely successful at alleviating the pain effectively, many arthritis sufferers are turning to natural arthritis treatments that they can use in conjunction with traditional therapies.

As a result of the interest in natural arthritis treatments, many doctors are becoming much more open to advising their patients on different types of natural arthritis treatments that have been proven effective for some arthritis patients in clinical trials. However, the field of holistic and natural medicine is an unregulated one, and care must be taken to ensure that you are not taken in by a scam or a quack that is more interested in making a quick buck than in helping you to manage your pain.

Types of Natural Treatments

There are a number of natural arthritis treatments that you can try for your symptoms, including dietary supplements, acupuncture, biofeedback, therapeutic massage and hypnosis. Another popular arthritis treatment is chiropractic therapy, which has been around for some time, and can help with a host of painful conditions, including arthritis.

Some arthritis sufferers have even turned to aromatherapy, hypnosis and meditation as a way to relax and ease the pain and stiffness that arthritis can bring. With so many natural arthritis treatments to choose from, it is tempting to jump right into the world of holistic healing and try every one to see which treatments will bring relief from the pain. However, it is prudent to exercise some caution and do your homework before you try out any natural arthritis treatment to ensure that the treatment and the professional administering it are both legitimate.

Your doctor can be a good source for natural arthritis treatments, especially if you are considering any types of herbal remedies or dietary supplements. It is important to make sure that these natural medications will not have a negative impact on your current medications that you might be taking. It is never a good idea to stop a traditional medicine in favor of an herbal one, but some herbal remedies can be effective when taken in conjunction with prescription medicines.

Your doctor can advise you as to which herbal remedies are safe, and how to know if you are purchasing one of good quality. It is also a good idea to talk to your doctor before seeing an acupuncturist, chiropractor or massage therapist, since your doctor can advise you as to which treatments might be most effective for you. He may even be able to provide a referral to a professional in the field that he has confidence in.

Natural arthritis treatments can be an effective complement to the traditional medications that you might already be taking. Talk to your doctor today about the best choices in natural arthritis treatments for you.

Learn When Hypnosis Can Be Very Useful by Abbas Abedi

Hypnosis is one of the therapeutic techniques used in order to put people in a state where they are more focused and open to different ideas and suggestions. This is commonly used to alter the state of consciousness to retrace specific inhibitions, access creativity, and heighten suggestibility.

Here are some scenarios when a person can use hypnosis:

1.Attain self-acceptance to become happier and contented with one self. This is beneficial in order to validate, appreciate, and support one self to become more successful in life.

2.Overcome fears to reach the full potential in both personal and professional goals.

3.Improve reading and writing skills that can be extremely beneficial to students and aspiring writers.

4.Build self-esteem to learn how to trust one self that is critical to develop decision-making skills.

5.Lose weight or quit smoking/drinking habits to become a healthier individual.

6.Get rid of panic attacks during stressful situations, social gathering, etc.

7.Manage stress to be more effective in handling personal and professional issues. This can result to excellent personal relationships and productiveness.

8.Improve memory to remember pressing things and events in life.

9.Increase concentration and teach the mind to focus on daily activities.

10.Boost creativity to achieve artistic pursuits.

11.Increase patient comfort during minor surgical operations. For example, hypnosis has long been used in dentistry to deal with specific problems that a dental patient may encounter. Its anti-anxiety effect is believed to smooth out procedures to make them more bearable.

12.To experience painless childbirth. Hypnosis is found to be a good alternative to obstetric anesthesia for uncomplicated childbirth. It is also used for quick postpartum recovery.

13.In general, hypnosis is believed to improve the quality of life.

Hypnosis is a tool that is being used to address the unconscious mind to create or find behaviors, resources, and attitudes needed to improve or change the lifestyle.

How to do it

Self-hypnosis is no sweat! Just find a comfortable and quiet place. Then sit down and close the eyes. Recall a relaxing time or when extreme concentration was achieved. Let the mind focus on the process instead of the expected outcome. Do this for 10-20 minutes.

Increase in creativity, problem-solving skills, and creativity will be noticed right away. If this is done on a regular basis for a long period of time, it can result to improved self-esteem, emotional stability, and less addictive tendencies. It can also be the answer to sleeping problems, stress, and a cluttered mind.

Contrary to common belief, hypnotized people control their actions during and after the procedure. In order to get the most of hypnosis, get an excellent hypnotist who knows how to communicate to the unconscious and conscious mind.

Every person responds to hypnosis in a different rate of speed, but it is proven to bring positive changes to people’s lives. Studies show that people who resort to hypnosis exhibits improved memory and concentration. This is one of the reasons why millions of Americans today try hypnosis to change or improve their lives.

However, it is important to note that hypnosis should not be used to substitute any psychological or medical treatments, and that not all hypnotists are mental health or medical doctors. Remember that hypnosis is not to be used to diagnosed or cure any type of disease.
